We have a survey we’d like you to fill out! It’s short, only ten questions long! Help us figure out what we can do in the future

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/69KPJGX

Survey over. It has reached the maximum number, so survey cannot be found.

It's just a survey, you don't have to take any of this literal. From my point of view, I think to add death factor into the comic wouldn't fit with the PG rating (besides, who could want to see any of them die?). However, I would like to see a bit more of drama once in a while. I have no problem with romance or comedy but the drama is always a good seasoning that can't be missed.
The question about the styles I found it a bit tricky, since there's things I liked more of the old style but there's other things I like more from the new one.

There's been elements of tragedy in here before. Sasha, King, Bailey, Keene, and Pete have all have tragic edges to their characters at some point in time...

I don't want to contradict you, but tragedy must involve death (or an irreparable damage), otherwise falls in the category of drama.

I would mostly say irreparable damage in the line that someone crosses something unforgivable, but in this case, i'm going to closely assume it's in the lines of romantic tragedy in this comic. It could be another form of tragedy, but that's my two cents =3

I gotta say, it was hard for me to decide between tragedy and drama.

I think you're confused. Why you categorizes the romance in this comic as tragedy? As I said before, tragedy involves death (the perfect example would be Romeo and Juliet) or at least an irreparable damage, a terrible disgrace with no possible solution and an unwanted outcome. But in this comic we've never seen (and I hope we'll never do) any of this. There's always a happy ending, even if it's not what everyone was expecting, and besides Rick always left an open door implicitly saying that nothing was written in stone and any thing could change at any moment.

It's hardly relevant, Tragedy bottomed out as the least wanted element

I'd personally like to see more relationship/drama from time to time. I think Rick did a Splendid job with the Love and War arc! I also think that some of the funnest, most hysterical arcs and strips that i've enjoyed were set in the summer time. ex: Theme Park World, Potrait of A Caricaturist,Dog Days of Summer and The Great Water Balloon War.

So all in all i'd like to see more comedy, sprinkled with bits of drama (and a generous helping of crazy for good measure).

What no mods around right now? Oh well, i'll help clear the air. Rick and Karishad put the survey out today around... i'll say after noon. The survey was pulled at around 5:00pm Central standard time because hit its max number of respondents.

Sooo, sorry if you did not get to participate in Rick's quick ten question survey. Y'all should talk about it here and suggest things that you might be interested in seeing happen with the Housepets! comic. That's basically what the survey was for in the first place.

Not the mods job, Rick has to figure out why SurveyMonkey isn't working.

hmm... maybe the survey had a limited number of entries?

I'm not sure if I remember everything, but at least I can say the questions were:

1-What's your favorite character?
2-What's your least favorite character?
3-What style you like the more? 2.0 or 3.0
4-What would you like to see more? (relationships/drama/humor/tragedy/etc)
5-What kind of merchandise you prefer?
6-How often you read the comic?
7-What length of arcs you prefer?
8-You follow any other of Rick's works?
9-You'd like to see special comics for holidays in addition with the common ones?

I can't remember the last one. My memory isn't enough good, but basically those were the relevant issues.

Per the twitter accounts of Karishad and @HousepetsComic, the maximum number of responses was received.

I am never one to like the results of a cross section myself. The majority is rarely as large as it is, and you get a bit of bias usually... would have been nice to participate, have everyone be heard.

Still, glad tragedy bottomed out the poll.

This was honestly a hard survey for me. Couldn't immediately decide on favorite and least favorite characters (though this did cement the fact that there are quite a few characters to keep track of). Actually, I think the first few questions were ones that I really had to think about.

It's okay. I didn't realize this survey's existence until yesterday. :?

The survey was only accessible for about five hours. It hit the maximum number of responses much more quickly than anticipated.

Next time use Google Docs. That'll take several hundred responses before freaking out, and it's a spreadsheet so you can program in data-mining algorithms.

If i remember correctly, there was an 'optional' on every question where you could fill in your optional request.

*Watches as everyone fills the optional next time with Grapenut, with only one vote for Grapewell* ='(

You know, I would enjoy some extra tragedy in this comic. So long as it doesn't start getting Bittersweet Candy Bowl tragic.

Once again, the survey reached the maximum number of people who could take it. It did so rather quickly, and Rick doesn't feel like paying a large amount of money just to allow more people to be able to take it.

I would love to see what would happen if everyone could take it, but that just isn't going to happen right now.

Unless someone is willing to pay for Rick to have an account on surveymonkey.
