Tomorrow I'm getting an X-ray (nothing serious), hopefully getting a new car, and going to work.

Waiting in line to check my luggage. I will then proceed to sit for about 3 hours and do homework that I missed. Teachers think I can continuously do 2 weeks worth of homework over two weeks of travel. Obviously no idea what they're talking about. I had maybe 3 hours total to do anything at all. At least some of my teachers were cool and said they'd give me time in class to catch up as well. Otherwise, 9 hour plane ride from Charles de-Gaulle to Chicago O'Hare. I am not really prepared for the 7 hour time difference from around GMT to CST

At the moment, eating salami and cheese sandwiches while typing this and considering if I'm going to actually going to do something I haven't done before, dress up for Halloween. Its not really a holiday in the sense here, but I still occasionally get the children knocking at my door. Later today I'll be heading down to the local card store to play some Magic: The Gathering with some friends

Australians don't celebrate Halloween that much? That's sad. :(

Technically its not a holiday here. It doesn't have the significance it has in the US. However, it has been getting a foothold here over time. 15 years ago, it basically didn't exist here, Last year there was probably a dozen kids going around my area, and the numbers have slowly increased over the years. To this day I'm not sure if it is a good thing or bad thing sometimes. However I don't mind it too much, I like to think that I'm somewhat accepting of other culture's holidays even if I don't celebrate them, each has a significance beyond first glance no matter if its foreign to ones home or not.

Popped over to the local electronics centre earlier today to try out their graphics tablets; I'm thinking about getting one, specifically an intuos.

Color is difficult in bathrooms if you have incandescent lighting. Because they give everything a pee yellow hue.

You need to get light bulbs that give off a true natural white hue. It makes a world of difference.

Today I am reviewing William Lowrie's Fundamentals of Geophysics, and calculating travel time curves for updip, flat, and downdip layers in order to make sense of my seismic data from the Myatis Thrust front in Northeast Yakutia, Russian republic, Siberia. I'm also studying for my comprehensive examinations and doing poorly in terms of focusing my attention.

Reminiscing about past birthday parties. My favorite venues were on my 16th - 18th birthdays: On my 16th birthday we got a group of my friends together and went to Six Flags. We spent pretty much a whole day riding the rides; roller coasters are awesome! :D On my 17th and 18th birthdays we went to a Renaissance fair. My parents and I had custom costumes made by a friend, and mine was almost a dead ringer for Flynn Rider's outfit - this was before Tangled had even come out. All my friends came dressed up and we had a blast.
Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.
