Considering my class schedule, my bed time on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday nights should be 11:05, but I give up my eighth hour of sleep just so I can read Housepets! when it's updated.

Also, I just realized today that no one thinks anything of two Mr. Bigglesworths going out on a date (assuming they know their date's gender, that is.) Therefore, I assume in the pet world the brother-sister thing with Peanut and Grape is not really the case. As far as I know, that leaves Grape's lack of interest in dogs, Peanut's fear of ridicule, Max and Tarot in the way. Still, that's quite a lot in the way. I'm surprised it got as far as it did, frankly.

P.S. The first comic has eight comments. The newest one is pushing 600. That's something to be proud of.

I had completely forgotten about the Bigglesworths. So your right the Step Brother-Sister thing wouldn't be a problem. Though IMO Peanut and Grape never saw each other like that anyway.

Edit: changed it to be a Step Brother-Sister thing. I think its a little more accurate and clarified some things Edit: Got rid of some redundant wording

You seem pretty set on thinking that it's going to happen at all.
Forbiden love is just the best type of love. More drama, excitment and stuff. And it seems to implie that it will happen. Also I wanted to see what others thought aaout this and I got half of the last page talking about it.^_^ So thats pretty fun to do, to get everyone talking about their thoughts on the matter.

Gasp, a pro-fan fiction comic? Usually one expects fan fiction to be the mostly-deserving whipping boy of the internet. I guess one comic has to mention it in a form other than the self-indulgent, canon-destroying flavor. Also, the idea that Grape would write more insane fan fiction than Tiger amuses me.

Today's post was brought to you by the letter "hyphen."

Well, it's nice to see Tiger again, and Marvin is back as a voice of reason. And a newspaper!

This one's gotten too big!

Everyone, new thread for discussing the newest comic is HERE!

Not anymore! The new thread for discussing the newest comic will be in the main part of "The Comic" forum. This thread will remain open for disscusing old comics! Just be sure to reference (link it or something) the comic you're talking about!

I still remember when it was still named "current comic". This thread has gone through renaming, locking, moving and then unlocking :D.

Anyway, I guess you should lock this.

To bring up a point that I don't think was ever resolved when Just Friends was released a lot of people were confused as to what exactly Rick did with that comic (in terms of shipping) I believe the term Anchored Ship fits exactly what he did with Peanut/Grape at least its the best one I could find anyway.

Edit: fixed wording

Thank you Teh Brawler I wrote that at 3 am (so its probably not the best worded post ever) and forgot to link to the article on TV Tropes. Sorry for the confusion Prower.

Rick is a Tropes user, so very much so.

Since this is an all-arc thread up to IM2, I have a thought on the end of "n-ple Date":

Did anybody notice it's a Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly sandwich? :P

I don't even see a sandwich in that comic... am I missing something?

hehe, I get it. Max and Tarot are the slices of bread! Peanut Butter and Grape jelly are the filling! It's a peanut butter + jelly sandwich!

They're talking about the last panel in this strip.

Which I linked in my original observation, so people would see it.

I was just surprised nobody else made that pun, either here or in the original comic discussion on the main site, before I did.

Oh, now I get it! Yeah, it's a nice pun and all, but I don't think it indicates much. The main indicator to what most of you guys want is the shape of Peanut's right ear (The one that hangs between his and Grape's head.)

It's shaped like a heart.

Because the term "sandwich" possesses connotations unwanted here? No offense.

All three shown dog ears are shaped like hearts. But considering the hearts drawn on that comic, I think that's just coincidence.

As for what Tarot once said in n-ple Date...

I think the way she meant it is, she knows how Peanut feels for Grape. She's there to alleviate his loneliness, but would get out of the way if Grape ever reciprocated Peanut's romantic crush (hence, breaking Max's heart).

But as it stands after I2, that's moot, since Grape made it clear she's not romantically interested.

That's what I think Tarot means as well because its not like it can mean anything else. As for your second point while its true, the story isn't over yet and things could change later you never really know.

Edit: And I bring up this point that things could change when Tarot talked to Peanut at the end of I2 (I know we don't know what she said to him but its very reasonable to guess it was about his feelings for Grape.) what ever she said didn't discourage his feelings for Grape in the least.
