Ohhhh yeah. I'd heard they made a spin-off about Sheen. I meant to check it out because Sheen was always the best part of Jimmy Neutron anyway (that's not to say the show itself wasn't good, but Sheen was totally my favorite character by a mile), though for whatever reason I never did get around to watching any of it.

Dang... now I'm really in the mood to watch the Jimmy Neutron movie. But I don't have it. ; ~;

I just saw like half of it last weekend! It's better than I expected it would have been.

I mean, I saw it when it came out but I expected it to not age well.

I always hated Carl, he as just sooooo creepy, at least he wasn't in love with his OWN mother, I mean its weird enough without an Oedipus complex. Gaaaaaaah, I hate my rambling thoughts.

If you were at all a fan of the show, I'd definitely recommend the movie. :) Definitely way better than your average "Television to Film" movie.

On the subject of worst characters, I honestly think Jimmy himself was my least favorite. Nick was annoying sometimes, but he was mostly a once-per-episode gag that often ended with him failing to live up to his "cool" stereotype, either by crashing into something or running away screaming like a girl. I thought he was kind of entertaining. Jimmy was just annoying most of the time, IMO. :p

I do however know the movie came before the show. it was film to TV

Yes. So was The Producers...

My favorite musical of all time :D

The 2005 version is, dare I say it, better than the 1960's version. As much as I love Gene Wilder, Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane executed their parts perfectly!

...
Oh, and yes. Carl and Nick are two of the worst Jimmy Neutron characters ever.

the new Producers was a movie based on the musical based on the movie about a musical.

Is it weird that now I'm listening to Carl's voice actor interview Tara Strong?
apparently he has a podcast where he talks to voice actors.

Really? Which voice actors has he interviewed? Did he interview Rob Paulsen? If so, I'd love a link!

Yes it did. Jimmy is pretty much the worst character. But the show and movie in general are good.

The rest

Hairspray also went the movie-musical-movie route, as did Little Shop (which apparently is going to be made into another movie at some point). There are probably some more examples, but none more off the top of my head.

So, in English today we had an interesting discussion. It was decided that my teacher has no soul, because he refuses to see any musicals. He won't even see Chicago, but that prompted an interesting discussion with another student, and people were surprised that I like Chicago, I have taste people.

Man bro fisticuffs let's go ahupp hupp hupp

I can see why a lot of people don't like musicals and theatre in general. Part of the problem is that so much of the best (yes, best, this is totally objective stuff and not my own opinions of course) theatre is written specifically for people familiar with theatre, so if you aren't, it's hard to get yourself interested.
