One-Offs Set #22: Hide b/w Seek

Come to think of it, I do
not want to have to own a purple cat while she's shedding. I'd imagine she'd be even worse!
I like the new inking style! It kind of reminds me of a newspaper comic in a sense, but in a good way. I'm interested in seeing how it smooths out with time.

Yeah I'm liking the inking so far looks good. And Peanut needs to take a bit better care of his fur

I must agree with yall. The new inking looks great!
Grape should get Peanut a hairbrush for his birthday.

She could always clean his fur for him without one.

It's probably a good idea to not be creepy.
I can't even really remember what I said in my abortive thread, but the gist was that I'm excited to see the art style continue to develop and improve.

Yeah, completly agree with you guys about new inking style, it's great. And this is one of the reasons why I like so much HP! comic, it always geting better and better, it's good, but still is being improved.
And well, Peanut needs to take more care of himself

Well, I knew that the pets don't really have a good sense of personal hygiene, but this is too much! I don't like Peanut anymore

Yes, shedding season! The few people who have no clue what could have possibly inspired this comic, consider yourselves lucky.
Am I the only one who doesn't especially care for the style? It works great for Rick's other recently posted works (
We Can Work it Out,
Kileak). The only thing I can really make out is considerably thicker lines ("new inking style" = "pressure sensitive pen"?). The tendency for a while has been towards thinner lines (that's true lots of comics in general too)... Not that the change is a bad thing at all, the ultimate style I would choose is actually somewhere around
https://www.housepetscomic.com/2009/02/ ... sequences/ hmm so idk. Maybe perhaps above all else I like the continual changes, whenever whatever the justification is.

Yeah, the lines are a little thick for my tastes. But he says he's planning to smooth it out over time, so I can't wait to see how this progresses

Since
several people have requested it in the comments section, I thought I'd pop in to post a picture I drew of Grape brushing Peanut.
It is my first attempt to draw either of them by hand, so please don't critique too hard

I really enjoy the new inking style. Loads to be honest. ^^
That pic's really cool as well! I like it ^^
Also, to be honest, I had absolutely no clue what the joke was for awhile. Honestly, I thought it had something to do with static for some reason. I'm glad to say I know what the joke is now though.

Now imagine what Mr. and Mrs. Sandwich's reaction will be when they will find brown fur on their white and fresh towels.

Mr. and Ms. Sandwich see lot's of brown fur on the floor and ask Grape "what happened here?"
Grape: "Peanut fought with great honor, but I'm afraid he..."
Peanut appears from behind and says: "Hey!"
Grape *with a grin* "...can't brush himself."

If by "fellow" you mean "registered on DeviantArt", then no (at least not yet
)

That would be an awesome way to create an arc out of this! Anyone up to the challenge?

It's worse- those aren't towels. They're just piles of dog hair.

Mmm, chocolate fondue jacuzzi...

I would like the ferrets more if they were less hedonistic.

of course, soaking in said Jacuzzi would completely make the chocolate disgusting.

You know if they existed in real life (or at least people that acted/did things like them anyway) I would most likely hate them myself, it's just in the comic it's so wacky I can over look my hate for their extreme hedonism.

I like them as characters that way, but as people, I too would probably enjoy them if it weren't for that.

I have on good authority ferrets are, in fact, little balls of chaos and destruction bent on doing things like ruining pool pumps and similar activities.
Also, I really like this art style, I noticed the outlines in the background (though I'm indifferent to that). Same inking method as prior?

Well, if I met in real that kind people, I'll hate them, but same type of character acted by ferrets, looks great
It's probably effects that ferrets are overdrawn (some way in the good meaning of this word) and this is why it's easier to like them

I feel like this was milked a bit, it's a spin on the lol moments of them being rich so it's fine.

Of course it's grape flavored......
Great comic. The ferrets are always fun to watch.
And a chocolate jacuzzi just sounds uncomfortable.

I'm gonna assume they are living off a dwindling bank account and that'll lead up to another arc where they finally get a taste of the middle class.
