The funny thing is Max really hasn't even done anything wrong this time. I mean, sure, he's trying to scare his friends, but that's the whole point of the competition.

Sabrina said Don't hurt him so I don't think anything bad will happen to him. Worst case is that he wets himself in front of everyone.

EDIT: But still be alive, though. As in, he's scared to death, metaphorically, but he'll, in a sense, have lost memory of what had happened during that lapse of time...

Most likely she felt like he was acting like a jerk to her when she was trying to help in the beginning of the arc (and he kind of was).

First thing that popped into my head. oh, boy. Poor Max </3 I' ve got a good feeling after this he's going to be paranoid for awhile either to himself or someone else. Now i'm curious what Maxwell's fear is more.

Love the style of this current strip there, Rick. And i have to agree this was one of them times the alt-text was joke-worthy.

If Rick's alt-comment is to be taken as humor at most though, you could throw in the stampede of dogs and cats at both meetings interestingly enough.

Also, i'm getting the feeling that Max's fear based on the last line (Give a ear to the quietest of fears) is a fear of mice.

It's possible that mice may have ganged up on Max just because he was driving them nuts. that's one scenario i'm thinking. I don't really think of Max myself being afraid of mice either, but i get this feeling that mice in the housepets world are just more rebelious i find and might've possibly done something severe to Max to cause him to fear mice. you never know what mice are capable of these days. XD

Although if he really did fear mice, i would sure hope someone fix that problem ASAP =3
