Could be worse. Just this week I watched a movie called "The Slayer", and then I decided to walk home through a deserted park at 10pm. Every shadow could have concealed something horrible...

It's lyrics from the song "Enter Sandman", actually.

Read H. P. Lovecraft's story "The Lurking Fear", if you really want something that will scare you!

Again, the chances of you being targeted are... What, 0.0000001% per day?
Also you have guns, the best I got is a small air pumped single shot sidearm for eliminating rodents.

Extreme cases of self-defence or something?

Aaaaand speaking of the thread's topic...
Joy №1 - Despite all odds and semi-failed exams in June (I definitely could have scored much better there...) I was admitted into the Moscow university of Civil Aviation, and I'll be studying Aviation Safety there for the next 4 (or 6) years, yay!
Phew, this 2 months-long nightmare of paperwork and exams is over!

Joy №2 - Finally got my French (or it's Schengen?) visa. I'll be leaving on the 19th, but probably without losing contact with everyone for too long.

Kind-of-sorrow - Great, I have 1 week to guess and buy everything for the university. And I have absolutely no idea on what I'll need!

That's terrific V, just remind me to never be on your flight lest you say it's your first day and you refer to the controls as the "buttony things" over the speakers to passengers. I will not put it past you to make that joke to already terrified customers.

Sorrow: Even though I asked for today off a week in advance for that very reason, my boss still made me come into work anyway.

Sorrow: had a really bad couple of days yesterday and today. I can't even say what happened. All I'll say is that I definitely need some prayers.

I'm hoping the reason it happened is because I'm getting closer....

(It just occurred to me that my choice of words above makes it sound like I'm some kind of super-spy being chased by the enemy--I can't say what really happened but I assure you it wasn't anything like that. :P I mean closer in a spiritual sense.)

A little Joy: Tomorrow's the last day of exam week. Hopefully I can make it through all this okay...
A little Sorrow: So there's this class project thing wherein everyone in our class had to work together to make a musicale. Which means everyone has to sing. Including me.
Another little Sorrow: A friend of mine just implied that I have no life. Hurts a little more than I thought it would...

Sorrow and anger: At the comic shop, some jerk hipster called me out for reading My Little Pony. I told him he could call me an [insert expletive here] for reading My Little Pony but he better be prepared to back it up. He got scared and apologized. But, the whole incident left a bad taste in my mouth. I bet if Pitchfork Media said it was cool he'd be all over it. Maybe he will think twice in the future after that encounter tho. I may be a brony, but that does not mean I can't beat him like I was his daddy.

Nervous: Today is my first day of community college. Just thinking about it makes me want to have a panic attack.

Congratulations! Now begins a new adventure for you. Remember to learn as much as possible and to keep an open mind.
ShadowLightning wrote: Another little Sorrow: A friend of mine just implied that I have no life. Hurts a little more than I thought it would...
Tell them you do have a life and if they were any kind of a friend they would not have said that. Maybe you just have more responsibilities than they do. You don't have an infinite amount of free time.

Joy: So I finally figured out how I'm supposed to do side-long pictures without them looking like some round-top pillars stacked together and a head on top. :D
Sorrow: School starts in one and a half weeks.
Sorrow: My hair is unmanageable. I'd brush it out and a few minutes later it looks like I just got out of bed. We're gonna have to cut it... short. *shudders* Took me years to grow it out as long as I did.
Joy: What this said.

Sorrow: Been wanting to draw some crossover fanart today, but I can't keep up my momentum and energy. And I feel blegh overall.
EDIT: And truly enough, I'm down with the flu and migraine as soon as I woke up. Great.

I feel you there, though I've been learning a bunch. Hands, anatomy , digital stuff. Been a month since my last fan art. It'll come to ya man, just give it some time. if you're not feeling fan art, start by learning something new. That itch will come back =)

Joy: I learned why a smudge guard glove can be invaluable for digital and traditional art drawing. I cut up a cotton glove to test and what do you know I can draw much better digitally. Note, need to order a professional smudge guard glove. This cotton one ain't cuttin it. It works, but that's all it does.

Sorrow: I saw my ex-boss again today. The one who fired me. Of course he was all smiles and hellos. I just stared at him as walked by and he just nervously smiled back and gave a little wave. It was not until I was in the library that I realized that I was clenching my fist so hard it left impression of my fingernails in my palm. I walked away, is the important part I suppose. Otherwise I might of done something I would have regretted. But still, I feel like I showed cowardice in the face of the enemy. But then again, hopefully the cold stare I gave him creeped him out just a little.

Nervousness: I don't think that my online community college classes will be that hard. For the most part anatomy is just rote memorization. Public school prepared me for that.

I think restraint is a better thing to say, cowardice implies you didn't have the capacity to hit him whereas it seems you only avoided it because of the social repercussions of doing so. Don't worry, we all feel like that when we see these people again.

Hobby. Though currently, since I'm waiting until next fall to go to medical school and am currently unemployed, this could be seen as my job!
