Cinnamon's response is everything Yukon could have hoped for.

"I am not a stinking mongoose they're not even in the same family they're related to cats and civets and.. and... hyenas! Look at my eyes do they look like a mongoose eyes no! Mongooses have rectangular pupils like goats!"

"Technically I'm an American marten not a pine marten because technically pine martens are only in Europe but everyone calls us pine martens and if you leave that off people think you're talking about a bird besides species names are arbitrary human constructs that's what Ice Bear says anyway. Like foxes are foxes everywhere right but no they're saying that American and European foxes are really different species now and should get new names so maybe you're not really a fox either! Hah!"

An humans need to see us, to know we all have been here.
Their noses are no where near good enough to know how many were here by scent..
