That's part of the fun though! I love the feeling of unlocking a new character, stage or song.

I started playing Splatoon today! It's super fun! Just let me know if any of y'all wanna play with me. :3

Not fun though when you go "think I'll try using this guy, never use them" and then suddenly a new challenger approaches.

That always got on my nerves because I usually ended up being unable to beat the new challenger and thus not unlocking them. DX

Well that's why you keep trying! Once you get the first challenge, they start showing up more often until you unlock them.

OK thats good but more about my game that I'm playing.

In SMRPG, I beat Valentina but was pretty shocked that she made it into an E-Rated game because of how she looked and what she was drinking. Standards were lax back in 1996. :P

*sigh* Now I'm tempted to buy a PSVita after watching some of the games it has. I mean, the 3DS is great and all, but I don't really identify with a lot of Nintendo's IPs like Mario and Zelda since I grew up with the Playstation, and Nintendo rely too much on first-party games that the fans demand. And while most of the IPs for Sony that I remember are long gone (Spyro, Crash), I only just realized that I actually liked playing RPGs and JRPGs like Ys, Persona and the Tales series. They tend to be exclusives or more fun for the Vita. It's backwards compatible with a lot of PS1 games too, and I'd love to re-experience my childhood once more.

In all though, the one thing I'm really disappointed with the 3DS is that you need friends if you really want to enjoy the system. I had none IRL who plays games anymore, and the online ones.... well, let's just say I'm terribly introverted now. Playing alone can be downright boring at times. Unless you're playing JRPGs, then you don't need friends to enjoy them. I know the 3DS has some RPGs as well, but as mentioned, they tend to be related to Nintendo's big IPs of which I don't identify with, or just sub-par as compared to the big names like ATLUS's stuffs. In fact, the only IP that I really get excited about is Pokemon, and even that gets stale after a while.

Sorry if this feels like a rant, but I'm bored xD I don't emulate games anymore out of guilt, I don't have a lot of cash to buy new ones, and my new laptop is so uinder-powered that it can even run Youtube and Tumblr at the same time without crashing. Again, no money to upgrade the RAM. So it boils down to money problems, which may mean I might stop playing games altogether sooner that I had expected, since I expect to have a mundane adult life soon

After playing RIFT lately, i'm starting to manage more time for Skype and my 3DS.

I still gotta play WoW until September when the account expires, however, but once September hits, i'll be hitting the 3DS much more :3

3DS and Vitas aren't just about internet, though, and if you get bored of them off-line, try creating challenges. That's what i do. or What if scenarios :3

My first reaction to that was asking if you had played that before.

Then I realized what a dumb question that would be. :P

Have I played SMRPG before? Yes but not through to the end since I am a really bad PROCRASTINATOR and a perfectionist who tends to delete a level if a game isn't done the way I want it. One of the reasons why I go to therapy and take medication.

Paper Mario I also played before but I never beat it. I never could get past Huff N Puff. Stupid cloud. :x

Anyway, I'm up to Tutankoopa now.

When leaks for Roy first started showing up, I was like "We already have Lucina, we don't need another Marth clone." But that Direct... It just showed so much. HE'S NOT A CLONE ANYMORE, I'M SO HAPPY!!!

Also, Bethesda presentation started in like 2 hours and 20 minutes, :D

Oh man I hope Roy isn't just an almost-strictly-worse Marth this time. That trailer made me nostalgic...

I am so excited for one more chance at Paper Mario being saved! Also, on a smaller note, I'm glad Splatoon is getting a three-round-burst gun finally!

So to sum up E3:

Fallout 4 was awesome.
Final Fantasy 7 remake was awesome
Kingdom Hearts 3 was awesome.
Star Fox Zero... wasn't what people expected, but still awesome.

We got a lot of neat games that came out this year for sneak peeks, but these ones are the ones i'm sure people want to hear the most about. Metal Gear 5 is also a neat feat, too. :3

Soon as I saw Roy return, first thing I thought - Awkward zombie will have fun with this.

Yes! I was so glad to catch the Bethesda E3 livestream! I mean, Fallout 4 is different in may ways to its predecessors but in from what I can see, they're all positive additions, like with base building akin to Skyrim's Heartfire except what looks like a lot more creative freedom and uses for the base. You can also get jetpack for goodness sakes.

I can also deny nor confirm that I screamed like a little girl at the Mass Effect: Andromeda trailer as soon as I saw the N7 insignia.

Is it a reboot?

Also, Nintendo should drop the "Metroid Prime" part of "Metroid Prime: Federation Force".

I think the Federation troopers game is more set around the time and setting of the prime series, though not part of the main story. Enemies I saw were In the first game.

Okay, I've got to show this. There's this game coming out called Cuphead, and it's basically a run and gun game (like Contra) with an art style similar to the Fleischer cartoons from the 1920's, 30's, and 40's (the same guys who did the Betty Boop and Popeye cartoons).

The Steam summersale is about to end. So here is a list of what I have aquired from it.

Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition
Dishonored: Game of the Year Edition
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion: Game of the Year Deluxe

I think it's pretty good.

Steam sale.... my laptop can't even run games properly xD

I'm a big Touhou fan, so I'm excited for the upcoming new game this September. Especially seeing how ZUN is returning to his roots and making the games hard as nails again. And at least now I can buy the games, Touhou 14 is available in Playism for $15. A little expensive considering that they usually go for 3000 yens there, but at least he is starting to think of his Western fanbase :3

I've played Paper Mario and watched a playthrough of The Thousand Year Door, and they're both awesome games in my opinion. I'd love to play The Thousand Year Door myself one day.

Definitely play it once you finish the first. It's fantastic.

The second chapter is a little slow in PM:TTYD. But the third is the best (in my opinion), and it's all good other than that!
