It is super easy, using the magic of *tadadatah!* layers! Make some light blue lines, lower there opacity, then overlay them onto the original layer. It takes only a few seconds. At least, that's how I'd do it. :)

Wait, who exactly does Peanut get to read these comics? Anyone other than Grape and (possibly) Joey? Because if it's just them, I don't see why Peanut has a reason anymore for Stripe, despite all appearances, to not be a cat.

Peanut shows them to Grape, Joey, and Sasha for sure, and we know that he isn't entirely comfortable with his attraction to cats; he's probably in some measure of denial, to say nothing of what would happen if word got out that he was drawing a bunch of cat-loving comics.

Eating radioactive waste in real life = Fail!
Eating radioactive waste in comic = Success and become a Superhero!

And Peanut should have written: "Don't try it at home, kids!"

Peanut is an artist with integrity. He can't just "write out" a central character like Stripe in Spot (Superdog)! Think of the continuity errors already replete within the world. One more would certainly rip the reader out of their suspension of disbelief.

Also, all the "is Stripe actually a cat?" discussions (as well as "has Peanut changed the genre after this latest update I wasn't happy with?") on the Spot (Superdog) message boards ensures Peanut can never get rid of Stripe even if he wanted to.

He almost certainly shows them to Tarot as well. (In fact I would be shocked if he didn't)

Hey Rick,

If you've got five minutes, can we see Peanut and Grape drawn in the Spot style?

I guessing that explains why Peanut took out the word super "cat" and replaced it with "dog." Lets not forget Peanut is so bad at hiding these kinds of feelings anyways. Back to the topic there, kids (and adults) never try this at home, eating radioactive materials that is. Going to library, win.

I'm willing to bet a arc dedicated to cats that everyone that reads Peanut's comic knows that Stripe's a cat XD

Well we know he shows it to Grape who obviously knows, he shows it to Joey who knows,he-as I said-shows it to Tarot who would obviously know, and Sasha who almost certainly knows but Peanut probably doesn't think she does. So yeah I think its a safe bet to say every one who reads it (well that we know reads it anyway) knows that Stripe is a cat.

Now here's the question: if the comic clearly says that she's a dog, wouldn't that make her a dog? Does the author's mere subconscious intentions supersede what is pretty clearly in the text itself in non-sarcastic context?

In a stunning twist, Stripe revealed to Spot that she really was a cat just before they went to the altar in Spot and Stripe Giant-Sized Wedding Special #1

but then the Nefarious Villains attacked and all hell broke loose
