Edit: Anyway, some time ago, I made a sketch of a scene from Chapter 6 in Daggy's current fanfic, Getting to Know Yourself.
This particular image has been hanging around in my mind for some time now.

The one on the right is the main character, Dag. He's a grey corgi with headphones as his tag.
Go read Daggy's fanfic to know more, go! X3

And thanks again, copper! There are actually three more scenes among the fanfics that are seared in my imagination, but all three are rather sad and heart-wrenching, and I'm afraid I might succumb into depression again if I did continue. Maybe when I'm a bit more stable. =3

It's kinda strange that not many people draw her, especially her relationship with Peanut. That may be a proof of somethi- *shot*

They're good drawings, albeit the proportions. And I like their expressions =3

Interesting, you rarely see Tarot Pictures let alone ones with her being romantic and mushy with Peanut. Though that's most likely because their relationship is very low key (and not very popular). The pictures are great even if the proportions are off.

Actually looking at them more I'm almost positive I've seen these exact pictures before except with different characters. I'm not sure if they were by this artist or another one but I swear I have, they look so familiar. But admittedly it could just be the poses they are in, they are pretty common ones.

Ok I feel like should say something here, GameCobra has a point they are edits of Adult versions of these pics by the same artist (edits done by the original artist as well) so hes not crazy.

I decided to draw different members of the Sandwich family. The sketches aren't too spectacular and a bit rushed. Yes, I know full well that I did not use the Housepets! art style.

Reuben Sandwich and Earl Sandwich probably look the best because they were the first ones drawn. As I drew each character the pencil got way duller, not that it was that sharp, anyway. By the time, i got to drawing Grape, my pencil was as dull as it was flat. Really , I should have used a pencil sharpener but the dull sharpener blade would keep breaking the pencil lead.

Is it me or is it easier to render a character if you color it?

@ QRS: You're really good! The family portrait is very nice, and I agree with valerio, I'm definitely digging into Earl and Rufus.
Especially Rufus, he looks so hot X3

And I'm not really sure about rendering being easier with colours. They can add depth to the sketch, easier to visualize and can make the characters more real, but it takes such a long time to do (at least for me), and screwing up the colours can pretty much mess up the whole thing.

I was thinking that a monochrome drawing restricts you to using value to render form while a color drawing adds in chroma saturation and hue to the mix. I know you can't just use any color you please when you draw. It's just that it's hard to get enough contrast and range of value in a pencil drawing to make the drawing visually outstanding. I suppose that's why you would use different types of pencils. I believe that being able to see a color drawing is a lot easier than its monochromatic counterpoint is what makes coloring seem so difficult. I could be completely wrong but it's something to consider. I wasn't so sure how well I would be able to draw Rufus but it seems like I wasn't a complete failure in my ability to draw that character.
