I take exception to calling oneself the 'designated human' when there are other users who've been here for a long time and are not furries. Those people actually complain about it from time to time.

That was much earlier, if I remember. But yes, by simple algebra we can determine that Bartholomew Cubbins is 500 times better than the Cat in the Hat

Children, cubs, everyone else, gather around. Uncle Psykeout is going to go into story time/lecture mode. Prepare the story time eyes.

Walt disney, and Dr. Suess to a lesser extent, DID Pioneer the furry fandom. It's the endearing funny animals and cartoon critters these fine artists created that provided the roots to the furry fandom. Most of us can remember getting up early every Saturday morning to watch our favorite animals get into wacky hijinks, or watching our favorite Disney movies about lions and toasters on VCR's. And it is indeed these youthful animal tales that continue to capture people into the furry fandom to this day.
