As always, love the art style dryideabat. Are the puppies even old enough to talk or are their words of wisdom going to be “aba ugah burble”? I like how Tarot has the power of time travel/projection, but is still useing dry ice for ominous effects.

The first line is ambiguous as to if King is saying Joel is his name, or if he’s saying Joel to get the attention of the human.

Actually I think that might be Orwell. Looking back at A Sinister Shadow, Joel's hair is clearly a dark brown, while Orwell's is more that reddish shade.

The pups are adorable! Ace is the perfect Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, what with the mysterious cloaked visage and all that.

Wait, it wouldn't make sense if that is Orwell. Joel was turned into a dog more because he was (un)lucky then because of what he did. Chances are, Orwell isn't going to "suffer" the same fate as Joel. Additionally, if this is in present day without using magic(k) to go back in time, then that raises the question of how did two dogs and three dressed-up puppies with a bucket of dry ice break into a prison.

Yes, that character in the jumpsuit was supposed to be the PETA guy with the "glandular problem". I'm sorry I did not have King specify that, not foreseeing that he could be confused with Joel (but now I see how). I was thinking that King got too sidetracked by Orwell's comment to say that he would not likely share the exact same fate. Ah well, live and learn.

That's why Orwell is in prison (that, and the sketchy dog obedience school). The question now is how did the dog crew get themselves in prison to talk to an inmate in his own cell cell.
