Type: Main Character

Species/Breed: Domestic Long Hair Cat

Age: 5/17.5

Neighbourhood: Sunset Plateau

Appearance: Gizmo is white with a navy blue belly and "glove" markings, his collar is sky blue with an NES controller as a tag

Personality: Usually Gizmo is very polite and he won't usually speak unless he's spoken to at least until he has met them, he is also very spacey and very easy to startle, in spite of this he's usually good at perceiving emotions and will usually try to cheer up anyone who seems sad, even if it doesn't always work out

Other notes: Gizmo was adopted by his Dad when he was very young, so young that he barely even remembers anything else about it. His Dad is also a game developer and as such Gizmo will usually offer to do the beta testing. He and is Dad are pretty close

It's a slice of life though, there probably woudn't be that much plot outside of character interactions and anything that we'd need to know would likely be explained as we went along, I'm pretty sure

@Gael:
I like the looks of Gizmo. Two little things though - you forgot the Agility stat, and your stats don't even come close to the max of 42 points. You don't have to use the full 42 if you don't want to but most people do as it can provide for a more well-rounded character. It's up to you how you want to play it, but please do at least add in the Agility stat. ^^

The basic premise of this RP is that it's slice-of-life and set in the Housepets universe. It's a little more interesting though because there's a colony of red pandas who are legally American citizens and a wolf pack both living just out of town. The pandas are getting a busload of new residents for their village today - a mix of pandas and other animals rescued from zoos and illegal exotic animal farms/zoos.

At the moment, the new day has just started so it's a good spot to jump in. ^^

Personality: Jolty is extremely socially awkward, and has difficulty conversing with people he doesn't know. However, once he warms up to someone, he can be outgoing and extremely fun. Also, when he is convinced enough, can be extremely charming, even if he is unaware of it, and thinks he is just being dorky. His love of science can provide interesting days of hanging out with him, along his many other interests like reading, writing, drawing, and cooking. He doesn't mind spending time alone, cuddling up with a good book, doing some writing or, drawing, or many other things. Has an extreme liking for puns, and will recite them for hours to irritate his friends, lovingly. Can be sensitive, and sees himself as a failure in many aspects.

Backstory: Jolty Halvenson was born breed on a farm for endangered cats. About 3 days after birth, he was bought by the Halvensons. The Halvensons where an extremely rich company, entrepreneurs who bought and sold companies. But they where also massive pet safety advocates, and when they saw Jolty in the adoption zone, they immediately adopted him. He became family very fast, with Marx and Andromeda Halvenson, their kids, and the other pets of the house, and they are some of the only people he is willing to open up around, due to his unusual markings, and polydactl.

How Sunset Plateu Jolty's adventures begin: The Halvensons are one of the biggest companies in the world. They own stocks all across the globe, and are extremely valuable. Despite this, they are also incredibly secretive. They aren't flashy, showing off their wealth, and instead go about their business, not getting involved in the world. Their large mansion is actually in Sunset Plateau, right outside of town. It's not entirely visible over the massive 10 foot hedge that surrounds the property. Almost no one in town has interacted with the Halvensons ever. However, this all changes one day, when most of the family goes on vacation, while Jolty stays behind out of disinterest, and a request for space alone....

I will be honest, when I came up with the idea of Will having a semi-aversion to meat, I had thought Minks were Omnivores, so when I read your post Hlaoroo, I had to look it up. I did not even know there were two kinds of Carnivores, so thanks, I learned something.

That being said, that left me in a bit of a pickle. The supplements thing was kind of pulled out of thin air, I will admit, but with animals being able to actively form and express opinions in Housepets, I felt that such a problem, while not particularly common, would probably have been heard of and solved before. If a lot of you guys think I jumped the shark on that, though, please let me know.

Supplements definitely do exist in the real world but they're not cheap and it is definitely more healthy for obligate carnivores to be eating actual meat.
If Will is eating some meat along with the supplements though then I think he should be fine, especially in the Housepets world.

He does still eat some meat, yes. With Paige being a fellow Obligate Carnivore, meat being in the house is unavoidable. They do eat more fish than the average household though. ...actually, double checking. Fish don't talk talk in Housepets, do they?
