Rig, CD, can you two slow down? like, a lot? the two of you having 3-5 posts a piece for every 1 anyone else has on the current page is getting a bit crazy.

Yeah... Sorry. That's been a bit of a problem with us. :?
We seem to keep too close a watch on the RPs and are a little too eager to respond. I noticed that it was happening again, which is why I refrained from responding to the last post.
I'll slow down to only a post or two a day. Depends on how active the RP is.

Same here. I don't have a job, so I don't really have anything else to do. I'm supposed to spend 6 hours a day working on coding and the job search, but I can't focus for 6 hours straight. As such, I often find myself here refreshing the page to see if anyone has posted anything, and responding to the posts is the most fun I have in the day.

Good grief, I MIGHT be pathetic!

Hey Hotep you in here?
Sandy's going to go looking for Horus after she's awake again, just FYI.

(the only down side of planning "today's" activities "yesterday" is "yesterday" was six months ago...)

I used to spend my free time in the forum games, but I found that I've been struggling to think of the right responses for them. Also, the ones that I played seemed to all be the ones involving reacting to another person's avatar, kind of like RP. Things like wake up next to the user above you, drop something on the user below you, attack the user above you, ban the user above you, etc.

Isn't it early December 2016? That was established a while back, wasn't it?
I remember making a joke about bonnie needing help with Christmas lights...
I mean, if it wasn't the movie Bonnie and Jake are at shouldn't still be in theaters cause it was Nov-Dec mostly (or at least it was here...)

Really? None of them have heard of Cthulhu? Amanda even referenced Lovecraft, so I know Cthulhu's story probably still is a thing in this universe.

Ps: Sorry for the double post. I figured it's been a long enough break between them.

Holly probably wouldn't know because she was educated in a feral fashion.
Sandy wouldn't know because he wasn't educated.
I can't really speak for Amanda. Maybe it's not her type of book?
Rig just hasn't made his way around to it yet.

Besides, Cthulhu doesn't come up in common conversation too much.

Well Amanda and her family would have heard of cthulu and other lovecraftian horrors (never know how many fictions are based on truth ya know?). And Amanda does have internet access, just isn't consumed by it like me! But yea, Lovecraft and cthulu are like medium range on the famous scale, some people outside the typical audience would know them but not too many.

I'm debating as to whether or not I'll include Cthulhu as a real thing in Eira's universe, but then say he's actually kind of lazy and non-threatening because he just sleeps at the bottom of the sea instead of constantly terrorizing the world like most of the other giant monsters.

IIRC, I think that's what he did in most of Lovecraft's stories too. It's when he wakes up that everything goes to hell.
Also, I think one of my favorite Cthulhu quotes has to come from Dumbledore in a Harry Potter fanfic. "This is Cthulhu, one of the Old Ones. His existence makes the universe's head hurt."

A good Graphic Novel on ideas related to that is Necronauts from 2000AD. Arthur Conan Doyle, Charles Fort and H.P Lovecraft journey to stand with Harry Houdini after his latest, death-defying, escape. Where his heart stopped for several minutes before he returned to the land of the living. But he was seen... The sleeper has woken and it's following him...

Er, she's not asking, she's reading them. Basically treating them like books, or Wiki pages. Those don't answer they just hold information that's easily copied. it would have been more useful to specify whether anyone knew.

As has been established before to those more aware, it can come with a sensation similar to a mix of flashbacks and being watched when she actively reads information below the surface, but unless you know what and who to look for, and/or have mental powers of your own, you can't really block or trace it.
