I kind of feel that way too, but I like the furries we have here. Very few disgusting, whiny drama-mongers.

I do wish that it was like that for the IRC chat; 99% of the people were pretty chill, if not the weeaboo stereotype that makes the gag reflex trigger in my throat, but this one guy FLIPPED on me for no reason. I was not really happy to have such a welcome.

Of course, since he's a furry, I should have expected something.

No one should envy me. I'm in a subculture that bases itself on unbridled acceptance with a hard-rooted mindset that a social filter on those you associate with is a good thing.

I sometimes get nosebleeds just from thinking about it. I think they're my brain's way of avoiding aneurisms.

Distinction: If you like bugs bunny, you are not a furry. If you imagine yourself as bugs bunny, you MIGHT be a furry. If you either get off on bugs bunny or made up your own bugs bunny character that you used to interact with bugs bunny in a story you wrote where your mary sue bugs bunny character was the center of attention, you're a furry.

Those examples are awfully extreme. There are plenty of people in between; I hardly think that what you described might make someone a furry applies to all furries. Also, watch the content rating.

Ok, let me rephrase. I consider myself not because I have no interest in animals of any kind that exceeds my interest in anything else, and my interest in animals isn't very large as it is.

1.) Furries are weird.
2.) What many people think furries are is even weirder and disgusting.
3.) A lot of furries are completely obnoxious.
4.) When only exposed to only a few furries or their work, it's easy to make deep-seeded judgments based on the louder ones.

I don't think that's really fair..

I am a furry and I talk to many other furries online and they are far nicer than most "normal" ppl I've talked to online or IRL.
