Housepets! Drawing Tutorial

Post by Dissension »

With the massive upswing in people who draw in the style of Housepets! (and a correspondingly huge increase in the number of those who complain about not being able to draw well for whatever reason), it's about time somebody put out a tutorial. While relatively comprehensive, this walk-through is not exhaustive.

How incredibly simple!

While I don't frequently try to draw in HP style, this still might be appreciated in the future.

Thanks! I was dissapointed that I couldn't see the images above, but i can see the one you posted for some reason. Anyways, awesome!

(I'm one of those "I can't draw like that" folks. And it's because we lack the knowledge of how the characters are drawn step by step, well, not anymore =) thanks all!)

...I love the song in the background...3 Doors Down, right?

Naa, I really like it. Always surprises me how you can do that with a mouse. Nice job...but the comment by Farkimah was the funniest part for me.

Actually it's done with a tablet. It's a pad that allows you to draw digitally.

For 80% of my drawings I use my mouse. However, for Fur-like stuff like the cheek hair and the hair behind the knees, I use a tablet. :3

I belive it belongs here
I draw housepets with basic three lines, XYZ. Y is a center line, X is a horizontal center line and Z is a line that indicates coordinate of nose.
and cats have a basic shape of hexagon and dogs have a basic shape of pentagon and square.
