Hypothetical Children

Post by NickCrotser »

Hypotheticly, If Peanut and Grape (are able to?, I don't know how it works in the HP universe) were to have a/multiple child/children, what would they look like and be called? and would it be grounds for a spin-off?

Well I highly doubt such a thing would even happen since the rating of this comic. Hypothetical questions confuse me.

Im pretty sure Rick could give them a baby and still keep the rating where it is, as long as he didnt show it being made (Peanut and Grape breeding) or it's birth (other than somthing like: Grape going into delivery room of the Vets, Peanut stays in lobby, and Grape comes out with a baby) .

The name "kippies" sounds like the name of a potato chip or something along those lines to me. I'm not advocating certain dietary habits that are rendered impossible due to natural reproductive limitions

Also, this discussion has gone to a strange place. Not that it wasn't already pretty strange in the beginning.

Even though they are not biologically related, they are kinda brother and sister. Sooo yeah. Plus it would be biologically impossible? But hey, there are giant green dragons and talking animals so anything is possible.

They are NOT kinde like bro/sis, otherwise Peanut shouldn't even have romantic feelings for Grape as he first would be educated to consider her as sister and not as possible mate.
This said, it's biologically implausible they could have any offspring
And I LOVE 'Kippies'!

If it was possible in the first place, we would have been seeing kippies and the sort by now and not dogs and cats

Also, I'm hungry now. Thanks a lot.

I bet if Pete (probably not Spirit Dragon) put enough anise in Great Kitsune's soda he might allow it.

I feel like I should have some kind of clever name for the offspring of pets named "Peanut" and "Grape" but I've got nothing. I think my imagination's broke.

Not necessarily. Humans are not all some shade of medium-brown, are they?

Step 1: Ask a female cat/dog how she's feeling today
Step 1.5: Tarot predicts someone will be having children.
Step 2: ?????????
Step 3: Profit.

I just felt like i saved Rick a mountain of headaches @_@

It really wouldn't be hard to setup children in this comic world honestly, and as much as i would enjoy it, i doubt we'll be seeing something like this over a long run in the future with any of the major characters at least until Rick does what's more important and that's get the characters developed to their full extent first, which he's still doing a fine job with honestly. I would give it like 5-10 years before we even touch that area. And if i ever saw Rick hint that he's thinking about it in the future, my only suggestion would be is to aim for a big heartwarmer and comical moment in one if the time ever came.

if slash pairings (as per defined in the forum rules) are not okay i think it's safe to say the hypothetical results of slash pairings are not okay

it kind of feels like saying "ew pregnant people are gross because of what it means they've done before" but come on keep it as safe you can guys

Well, they could be the product of In vitro fertilisation and artifical wombs, so no pairings per se.

Humorous note: I'm betting if Peanut did have a kid someday, i'm betting his kid would be predestined by the Spirit Dragon somehow.

Dragon: Tarot, i need for you to give Peanut a puppy.

Tarot: What?!?

Dragon: We hid it in a dungeon. You must guide him to it.

Tarot: Oh. i thought for a moment there...wait, what?!?

I agree, I created this thread so we could all talk (and possibly even get Rick's opinion) about what a hypothetical baby would look like, and well we havnt really been doing that.

because the biological factor prevents the two of them from having kippies as a result of their mating, thus having all speculations fall into the paraody.
Tarot and Peanut could have a medium-sized halfbreed with, perhaps, the eyes of the mother, a thick neckfur and the overall body build of his/her father. IMO, of course. Hope it will be a boy.
I can't imagine what kind of color could result with a mix of Grape and Max, but I hope it'll be a black kit with a purple streak along his/her back running to merge with the tail. And I hope it will be a girl.

To be frank, it would be interesting to know if Rick conceived everything as being static or if there will be major status quo-breaking developments.
