Huh, I didn't know Jason Bateman did his voice.
Well, that explains the drawing I saw a while back of the fox character driving the Bluth staircar.

It's pretty common for animators to take design cues on characters from their voice actors, including mannerisms and how they talk.

I figured that much out when I saw they cast Shakira as a pop star.

A Pregnancy joke in a Disney cartoon movie. Going to be fun seeing how people will complain about that one. :3

Well considering that the film's director (Rich Moore) has directed some episodes of The Simpsons, Fututrama, and Drawn Together, it's not too surprising.

Probably not. I don't think recognizing pregnancy is exactly taboo anymore, and it hasn't been for like 60 years.

Dayzee, have you ever heard of the Production Code?
From 1934 through at least the 1950s, there was an iron-clad agreement between the major U.S. studios about how, or even if, certain subjects should be handled.

It's not so bad these days. Disney likes to open up most stories with the birth of the hero/heroine, but they try to skip past all the growing details like in Tangled. This is just the first time I ever heard them say pregnant on a Disney film and used as an animal joke. Of course most families that watch Disney cartoons might consider animals acceptable targets, so it makes me think Zootopia will be used for other humorous animal target-friendly jokes. X3

Has anyone seen the second trailer for the movie yet with Flash (the sloth) in it?
If not then here it is!

I already was excited about the movie coming out but if it has comedy like this throughout the entire thing I'm going to absolutely love it

Of course, it was posted
here .
Watched the Italian version, and the choice of voices is perfect. Fortunately, the lame pregnancy joke is there, too.
Can't wait for the movie.

I thought this was funny.
Who knew Maid Marian was an old-timey speciesist bigot?

As someone who watched that movie multiple times when I was younger, I quite enjoyed that comic.

I guess conning must run in the family in that case. Though I thought that the folklore of Robin Hood stated that Marian was murdered?

In the words of ProJared, "that's canon, now."
I've actually been thinking of the whole "never seen before" deal, and really, it's not true. As can be seen above, Disney had already done the anthropomorphic deal with Robin Hood, and technically, always has with Oswald and Mickey. I think even Song of the South counts in that regard.
Faith doesn't change circumstances. Faith changes me.

I don't think that happened in any of the old stories, just in a few more recent adaptations.

Well if that is true, then I guess I'll just have it so that Marian was always alive because I rather liked them together.
Though Marian needs to drop her speciest attitude.

They must be old, considering the respective time periods of their movies.

If you assume they're just actors, they're probably middle aged. which is still old for foxes.

Zootopia has
a Facebook page now. They are doing their own takes of current popular music with Zootopia versions, at least cover art for them.

If Jason Bateman is anything like his character was in that episode of The Muppets, I have a feeling Nick will be very funny.

Not a big fan of the second one because for some reason I don't see Judy as a Jedi.

she's too impatient and ambitious. she'd eventually fall to the dark side to punish criminals.

She's not a jedi, that's Rey's stick, not a lightsaber.

Can't help but wonder how much they paid Universal. At least they own the rights to Star Wars now.

they do, that's what Kitch just said. he was wondering how much they paid Universal for the rights to make the Jurassic World poster parody.

Probably nothing or at the very least a token amount, as parody works are exceptions in copyright law.
