Thank you. I know I'm doing the right thing when my work makes a giant centipede cry. You should try my cooking (though it induces tears for other less emotionally-based reasons)
Well, with stuff, junk, and things, progress here will most likely be very slow. To top it off, I wanted to get the prequel arc (Paws of Lightning) finished first before moving on to part 3. Here's another sample.

This got me thinking of DBZ abridged with Vegeta going:
MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE *POW!* Mine...

Not really sure how a bone would be considered precious to a squirrel, but whatever floats their boat I guess.

Bribing another dog for favors?
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

Or trying to repay a debt to a more powerful and stronger dog that could tear them apart. XD
Re: The Not-So Dynamic Duo
Great comic cover, and that tree looks so creepy, it reminds of someone... Amazing work.
Good, the prequel again. The squirrels are always so well organized in group, never trust them. Say goodbye to your bone, Heidi. Yeah, why squirrels would need a bone? They're engineering something else...

Re: The Not-So Dynamic Duo
Thanks everyone.
As for the bone... it'll all make sense soon, I promise.
As this arc progresses, you might notice some inspiration from DBZ, Bruce Lee action movies, Karate Kid, and so forth... At least Heidi managed to DODGE that tree.The-J-Man wrote:This got me thinking of DBZ abridged with Vegeta going:

Yeah, I made that cover a few nights ago and now that I look at it wide awake it is a little creepy . Well, that's Homer: the biggest creep to ever creep into your creepiest nightmares (Pete taught em well).Cesco wrote:Great comic cover, and that tree looks so creepy, it reminds of someone... Things don't look good for Heidi right now. I hope they don't hit her in the face!
Re: The Not-So Dynamic Duo
She's right, actually... Well, they don't care. Never deal with the squirrels... They look cute, but they're never such. Poor Heidi, what's going to happen to her?

I wonder if the squirrel my mother feeds get ambused by different squirrels trying to take the peanuts?

I agree, squirrels are bad news. Oh heidi...why did you have to chase the squirrel

Okay that is hilarious. mostly because the same exact thing happened to me where someone misinterpreted the word Martial Artist and shortened it down to "artist"
...but still...both are true with me

Well, like in many fighting movies, comes a brief moment of/attempt at philosophy. Next time (whenever that will be; I can't even promise weekly updates anymore with my schedule intensifying ), we're gonna need a montage...

Is the floating plot of land where they currently are on based on the lookout from DBZ?

Re: The Not-So Dynamic Duo
You should meet the real Heidi. She's such a loveable (albeit doofy) dog that somehow finds a way to leave you scratching your head. Oh, the stories...Buster wrote:And once again that dog finds a way to make my brain hurt.
I honestly didn't think of it like that when designing it. Hmm... Bring on Mr. Popo!Amazee Dayzee wrote:Is the floating plot of land where they currently are on based on the lookout from DBZ?
Re: The Not-So Dynamic Duo
But, Heidi got teleported there? It's still not so clear. And the fighting lessons start. The cat pose in the fifth panel reminds too much of Grape, dunno why. Cool poster.

Heidi's means of getting there will be clarified next time... But to give you a big hint, did you ever see the movie Inception?Cesco wrote:But, Heidi got teleported there? It's still not so clear. Liar!... But I just had to do this first. You know how much I love clichés, and this is essentially a composite of training montages from several classics. Next time I'll explain how she got here.dryideabat wrote: Heidi's means of getting there will be clarified next time...

Re: The Not-So Dynamic Duo
Mao sort of reminds me a bit of Master Yoshi with forcing her to do her laundry there. Really great update!
Re: The Not-So Dynamic Duo
Really nice work with the comic page. Cool, Heidi is now a karate dog. Don't listed to Mao, Heidi, do a laundry is an hard exercise too.
Thanks for the hint, I got what you mean. I saw that movie, but I didn't get its plot so well.

I guess you can say she's a kung foo poodle... *cricket chirps* And yeah, laundry can be a pain to carry around. Clean and fold, clean and fold. Washer on, washer off... *even the crickets start booing*Cesco wrote:Really nice work with the comic page. Cool, Heidi is now a karate dog. Wait, Master Yoshi? You mean the guy who would become Splinter from TMNT... or a fusion between Master Roshi and Yoshi?Amazee Dayzee wrote:Mao sort of reminds me a bit of Master Yoshi with forcing her to do her laundry there. Really great update!

When you wake up from a weird dream, it's not supposed to go on without you...
