Granted. But, no one ever really adjusts to it, and doors get slammed on it repeatedly and painfully.

Granted, the entire universe disappears from around you. Unfortunately Nothing is not very interesting after the novelty wears off. Also you can't eat, or breathe for that matter.

The economy skyrockets, the world starts doing better, poverty ceases to exist, third world countries start to pay off their debts, global realtions start to improve - everything seems better!

But then North Korea launches a nuclear warhead using their newfound wealth

Wish granted, fun is no longer painful! However, since nothing bad can happen, activities such as skydiving and parachuting become mundane. Soon this happen across the entire spectrum of hobbies and fun no longer ceases to exist!

I wish for injuries to heal faster (ironically, I have injured myself falling off my skateboard before you brought it up

I am not surprised, anyone I know who has skateboarded has broken their bones.
Injuries heal faster but diseases and illness spread faster and last longer then ever before.

I wish Scientists could cure all diseases.

It really is worth it in the long run! Broken bones heal and injuries fade in time, but back to the point!
