This made me chuckle. :) Looks like a bit of info on King's cast page entry is now invalid. But I nitpick. :P (Seriously, don't update, not on account of me).

Also, to those saying that Pete can come back as King's owner or take one of the ferrets as an avatar: I don't see how. The GM forbid him enter the arena until he has a FULL cat or dog avatar. Ferrets aren't in that category unless he transforms one with permission. Same applies to his human form, he can't do it. Well he can, but if the GM finds out, he's toast.

In my opinion the whole experience with Pete seemed to better King as a person.

He does, Pete was feeding him with offal, after all.

This was an awesome arc :D!

And Foldo.... we already have a Sasha arc. We need Sabrina!

Guesses on what the next arc will be about and who it will be about?

1. Peanut and Grape. Alog with Max.

2. Grape and Max, mainly.

3. Bino. Involving Sasha.

4. Sasha. Involving Bino and King.

A great ending to a great arc. Yeah for King's sanity I hope he fits in. Who knows maybe King will learn to be more patient, (like he is starting to). Great character development, King went from timid to mature in the next. Okay maybe some old habits still remain. Last time I check, I heard that Sabrina is getting an arc or something.

I've actually had enough of King. He's a great character, but the last arc almost solely revolved around him, so I think he should be in the background for awhile. Just my 2 cents.

Meh, not my favorite character, but she deserves some attention. She is a fairly important character and she's been in what, 2 panels, 3 panels tops? Ok, I submit Jirodyne.

The alt text for this one just MAKES it for me. Seems King is willing to put up with this...because of how bad Pete was to him.

Makes ya wonder what else Pete did...

Guess we'll have to wait for "All the King's Men" part two, huh? :P

I actually agree. King is my favourite character, and I'm extremely happy he got such a long arc, but I think everyone, not least Rick himself, will be happy to put King behind for a while. I think for that same reason the next arc can't be a Sasha one, because she's becoming quite related to King, so even if he didn't appear he'd likely be mentioned. Sabrina seems a possibility, but I think going back to good ol' Peanut and Grape (With side-helpings of Max) is probably the most likely outcome. That, or we'll have some Tiger, Marvin and Zach.

What about Joey, Rex & Fido? Also, I'd like a good, old Peanut and Grape arc, or a Sabrina & Fido arc.

Sabrina and Fido definitely might be one, but I don't think Joey will get an arc just yet. Maybe a few one-offs, but I think if he gets an arc it will be quite a sad one (In Housepets! terms that is) about how he feels ignored or lonely and other such stuff, whereas I think the next arc will need to be a silly one. It might even be a Spot arc! Although it's interesting you mention Rex. I hadn't thought of it before, but a Bino, Rex and Good ol Dog's Club arc might be up soon. I don't think we've ever seen Bino and Rex's reaction to Fox hanging out with them less (As he's been with King).

I think it's a bit specific, deliberate even. As such it's an upgrade more then a mistake. AKA no mess up, sorry but I must disagree with your analysis.

Oh, and I also agree that King's arc should wrap up soon (now?) it is time for something different. Hmm, some people are rooting for Sabrina? Well, we've seen (unless I am wrong) Sabrina and Tarot together when Tarot was communicating with Peanut when Pete escaped (that's so cool!) so it would give Rick an opportunity to have Tarot give a little "teaser" of information that really tells us nothing and only serves to mess with our heads and at the same time flesh out a character that could really use some more fleshing out. Probably only a short arc that leads itself back to the main characters in some wierd/humerous way which slowly (very slowly) moves the story along in a medium possably even large sized arc. I vote for medium sized because two long arcs seperated with only a small one would be kinda... I dunno, it just doesn't feel right to me.

And I would totally freak if that's actually what Rick does. I NEVER predict things with that much accuracy. Heck, I rarely predict things with any accuracy at all!

I highly Rick would deliberately change something like that over the span of 3 strips, I could be wrong however.
