Colored B&W versions [Refur project]
Re: Colored B&W versions [Refur project]
Thanks, Obbl & Douglas Collier, if you check now I've corrected scarfs' missed color.
I suspect that mine is a genetic problem, maybe my grandgrandfather was Dorando Pietri

Here again.
Having completed the task doesn't mean that's time to stop.
Looking at the old posts of almost 3 years ago (just two pages back) I've find a strip that was slightly under the standard
that forumers like kiderra or Cesco have reached, so I done it again starting from Rick's B&W original as usual.
I informed via PM the poster, Vyath, and he kindly availed my choice.

Now that looks good!
Re: Colored B&W versions [Refur project]
Gooood morning forumers!
As for the last one, I found the next two somehow below actual standard, so I contacted Stu, who posted them long ago.
He agreed and gave me a Go for new versions.

Well, the epic task seems to be accomplished at last, all 87 B&W canon strips colored... is this the end?
Mmm, I don't think so.
If you are somad patient to browse through all this thread and do the math you'll find only 62 strips, the others are
unavailable due to dead links, image errors or only-dog-knows-what else.
Even if all 87 were visible here it would be impossible for a reader to see them in chronological order, and a looong work
to pick them up for someone like a new translator.
That's why I'm thinking to start a new thread, a total reboot of the Refur project initially based on the archive I recently
assembled (and restored) during rebuild of valerio's italian translation thread.
It would have useful tools for translators (like links to the clean versions), a starting post containing all 87 strips in order and,
last but not least, a brand new target that I'll fully explain when ready.
So brace yourself
the total reboot is coming

A fine idea, indeed! It will help a lot those who want to create their own private archive or just translate the strip now with flashy special effects
Re: Colored B&W versions [Refur project]
These looks great and creatively remade. You're the best with this work, Renato! Very nice idea.

Nice touchscreen. where did you get it?
I'm thinking of getting one of those to draw on someday.

It would be awesome if these got posted on the comic website, even as a bonus section or something to see the earlier stuff in color.
Re: Colored B&W versions [Refur project]
Sadly, the quality of the coloring is a bit all over the place, I wound't suggest it unless it's a steady style.Stan Collier wrote:It would be awesome if these got posted on the comic website, even as a bonus section or something to see the earlier stuff in color.
This one it's actually not really meant for drawing (no pen pressure), it's a semi cheap windows/pc tablet.GameCobra wrote:Nice touchscreen. where did you get it?

But I decided to get a stylus pen and see how well it hold up, for coloring it's nice because I don't want to use pressure anyway.

Re: Colored B&W versions [Refur project]
Nice work here. But, you can save the efforts with recolor the strips, Kyderra. It's now a done thing: Renato and for a small part me already did all the remained work, also improving some of the older recolored strips. Check the new project.
Re: Colored B&W versions [Refur project]
See ,I seen the comment about that but I could not find the post at all (now on page 2 I noticed)
Thanks for the heads up.
