I'm back!
So, hey,, what did you do for the mother's day?
my brother and I made a decoration violin that can be hung on a wall.
and, woohee,, we used to burn through a Chat thread in at least 3 months, what's happening?
hey..... black box is my thing XP

Re: Chat Thread 41: Mod Maker
This mother's day was rough, but it worked out in the end. Bingo for my mom was mixed up and ended up wasting money buying last week's cards instead of this week's cards. Can't believe the store did that. We did, however, pitch in to get more pots for her since she wants the kitchen to be slicker.

Re: Chat Thread 41: Mod Maker
Just found out we have Mothers' day officially on the last Sunday of November O_o Didn't even notice it being a holiday before, but the law was passed in 1998...
Always thought we only had "International Womens' day" on 8th of March instead, as it's even closer by a date (and it's a public holiday unlike Mothers' day), as a substitute.
Oh well, you learn something new every day in the least likely of places sometimes...

I like how some customers at work joke about Hawaii Summers being Christmas =P
Sometimes they say it's in August, some say it's just not snowing in December. Love that humor with Hawaiians.

Re: Chat Thread 41: Mod Maker
Christmas in winter is an odd thought for me although I have now experienced it once two years ago when I was in France for Christmas.
We always spend Christmas afternoon either with the extended family out in the sun, playing games and having fun. Well, as many games as we can while stuffed full of food. We even had a water fight one Christmas.

Re: Chat Thread 41: Mod Maker
That sounds awesome! You have a way to lose christmas fat and calories. We don't Xo So what do you use as a christmas tree? Cactus? So do you have rudolph the red nosed kangaroo? XD just kidding. (Though I really want to know what you guys use as a christmas tree)
I get S.A.D. around christmas season. (seasonal affective disorder. some may call winter blues, but it is a bit different). So Christmas hasn't been fun for me for a while... I'm not innate to cold weather.

I'd guess someone brought it up. If you don't care for a topic, you're free to introduce a new one, but there's really no use to asking why it's being discussed.

Interested in more? Come in Southern Italy for the best and real Christmas experience (you may found no snow, but it's not what matters)... To me it's so hard think how live the Chistmas in summer season, there are too differences (hot vs cold, for first), and it's like it would be put into the background.Hlaoroo wrote:Christmas in winter is an odd thought for me although I have now experienced it once two years ago when I was in France for Christmas.

I hope to see it here one day, as similar as possible to the US one, so probably I'll do the subscription for some month. The similar services available here suck so hard in quality and costs ratio...texascat018 wrote:Also, my parents got us Netflix few days ago.

I stop by local record stores whenever possible, they're my favorite place to waste time and money.RatHead wrote:Or has anyone ever been to a classic records store?
I also spend about $10 on boxes of old records at swap meets and take in the ones I don't want.

Well I don't buy records because I don't have a player. But I do have a cool second hand music/ gaming/ movie store near my place where I buy CD's. I browse their selection every so often to find some gems. Last time I picked up Biohazard's Urban discipline and whatever job for a cowboy album had Embedded on it.RatHead wrote:OK!, Anyone been to any Huge Rock/metal/etc concerts recently? I haven't been to any big concerts lately but I am seeing O'death again this friday at a little cafe/ music venue by my parent's place. That might be fun. I saw them at a local dive bar/ venue a couple years ago. Hopefully there's a crowd as good as that one on friday. Folk mosh is best mosh :p
