Re: Music.
I posted a status on Facebook asking for album suggestions that I promised to listen to no matter what. I got probably like 30 hours of music.
This gonna be good. :3

The whole idea was to get a variety. I ended up having 43 albums to listen to.Seth wrote:I mean onyl if you have friends with good taste. I wouldn't trust most of my friend's musical reccomendations those guys are weird : p

Sounds cool, I guess I just have boring friends. At least as far as music goes. As a general rule I'm kind of an outlier in most musical discussions in my circle. Which isn't really a good or bad thing I just think I approach music differently and/or want something different out of it than a lot of people.Sleet wrote:The whole idea was to get a variety. Well, if you're ever looking for more DnB, you might like Rusko - Everyday (Netsky Remix VIP).Cesco wrote:Powerful track, one of the few drum & bass tracks which I love.

The timbres are different but they both make use of uplifting progressions with a kind of melancholy flavour. "Everyday" was also featured in the videogame Forza Horizon, a game about driving cars in Colorado at ridiculous speeds. You could simulate this by rolling down the windows and driving a deserted highway early in the morning in second or third gear. Your engine would be screaming but you'd be traveling somewhere near the posted limit. :3

I'll be sure to save the date. I really dug their previous two releases so I'll probably just throw a bunch of money at them and get all three at once.

I'm listening to them in random order. So far I've listened to Gold Fields, CHVRCHES, and Streetlight Manifesto. 40 to go...Seth wrote:Sounds cool, I guess I just have boring friends. I had a friend that really liked streetlight manifesto in high school and tried to get me into them. I only know like one song by them though. Care to give any recommendations?Sleet wrote:I'm listening to them in random order. So far I've listened to Gold Fields, CHVRCHES, and Streetlight Manifesto. 40 to go...

Re: Music.
A beautiful relaxing track.
Dillon Francis feat. Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs - Without You
I stick more to the house music genres (4/4 metric beat, 125-130 BPM), better if with at least a minimal vocal lyric. I use to listen also the commercial dance and trance tracks.
I know this game and something about its tracklist, but I haven't it since it's not also made for PC.

Nice one, I like the progression and the trance-like melody, but the drum & bass beat isn't really for my tastes. I love melancholy flavour in EDM tracks (above an example). Tidal Wave has a slow flow, a progressive house-like pattern and then a great vocal. This other one is a very good song, overall.Goforit wrote:Well, if you're ever looking for more DnB, you might like Rusko - Everyday (Netsky Remix VIP).

Re: Music.
I wouldn't particularly be able to since I'm just giving single albums listen-throughs. But if a song jumps out at me I'll let you know!Seth wrote:I had a friend that really liked streetlight manifesto in high school and tried to get me into them. This is an amazing band.
Sigur Rós - Hoppípolla
Since rock genres are the principal ones here, would you discover some good Italian examples of the genre? I'll prepare a list, mostly based on my memories.

Lindsey Stirling ~ Moon Trance
I personally love her work. If you haven't heard of her, look up some of her other stuff.....she has done covers for Zelda, Skyrim, StarWars and Pokemon as well

Cool! Dance and violin, impressive music. This style reminds me of a similar much older track, played with strings by 4 women...DismayWolf wrote:Lindsey Stirling ~ Moon Trance

Lindsey originally appeared on "America's got talent".....where everyone was like "A Violin.....mixed with hiphop/dupstep?!?" lol.Cesco wrote:Do you know Lacuna Coil? Love this cover.
