This is the example of a perfect comic, perfect expressions, jokes, and ending.

But Keene, No, he needs EVERY ONE of those collars, knowing him, he'll STILL be invisible to radar! and I love it when this fox is havin his fun!

He's truly a sly fox.
Getting anything off a mountain lion requires determination and not dying.
Though I think determination is out of range of Karishad's flavor of apathy.

So I counted 23 of the collars. How about the rest of y'all? I assume there's another one around his right ankle that we just can't see or something. That, or, y'know, "two dozen" was an estimation. Not a big deal. ^^;
Also, I can't help but wonder how in the world Kari was able to take that many collars off of that many mountain lions. I mean, it is Karishad, but... DANG! O.o

I should have seen the micro-arc coming, dang. Still, nothing to raise spirits like the antics of Karishad.
Re: 2014/03/21 - Radio Control Fox
The instant my eyes moved to the second panel, my mind went, "oh crud, that can't be good."
Third panel, "Yep."
Third panel, "Yep."
But maybe they keep them on as an alibi. Person attacked by an animal? Lion can say, "Wasn't me, I wasn't anywhere near there, and you can prove it."TendoTwo wrote:They've got arms and thumbs, wouldn't the lions just be able to.... take them off?

Re: 2014/03/21 - Radio Control Fox
So I was talking one day
to my good friend Bryan -
Bryan? You know him;
the zoo's main mountain Lion.
He tells to me of how
his pack wants to taste freedom,
I tell him that's dumb -
he should try a pizza run!
They agree it's cool
until that one hollers
“we can't go anywhere
wearing these frikkin' collars!"
I say to leave them with me -
I can move faster than a flea
And, if on a screen the locations humans do see?
Well it'll look like a Lion feeding frenzy!
So I wear all their collars,
their food hunt begun,
when my boss walks up,
thinking to have some fun.
So I tell him what's going on -
Boy, see him run!

"drags body across ground" huff, huff, I've finally caught up with the comic and comments, huff, yaay "FWUMP".
Ok now that that's over with I just want to say Rick, this comic is SO funny and well drawn I've always enjoyed the "story" and all of it's arcs.
With the most recent update all I have to say is Karma Keene, Karma.

The real question is, what did Kari give the mountain-lions in exchange for the collars? Keene's credit cards?

Oh, no more Stories? But nevermind, this is great and we haven't had a micro-arc for ages.
There is still one foot we haven't seen. But he clearly lost one yellow collar from his left arm on the last panel.loomCAT wrote:So I counted 23 of the collars. How about the rest of y'all? This could get confusing. You see, my real world name is Nathaniel Jones (and yes, I am this guy) and people usually call me Nate.Frank wrote:Welcome to the forums, nate!Natemare117 wrote:"drags body across ground" huff, huff, I've finally caught up with the comic and comments, huff, yaay "FWUMP".
Has anyone else been rereading childhood favorites recently? I have. (All because of the inspiration of the last imaginate arc.) I recently rediscovered Bill Peet. For the longest time I was attributing his works to Dr. Seuss. . . And now I know where part of my appreciation for bad puns comes from. Take the last lines from a couple of books...
From: "The Caboose Who Got Loose"
"And indeed, oh indeed, oh indeed Katy did!" (In the book, Katy is a freight train's caboose.)
From: "Chester the Worldly Pig"
"But if he(Chester) had ever heard that show-offish actors were sometimes called 'hams,' Chester would have surely been horrified."
From: "How Droofus the Dragon Lost His Head"
"In all the excitement Droofus the Dragon lost his head - but only for a moment."
In these books, the whole story leads up to the pun at the end...which makes you wonder why you paid the money for it...which somehow makes the joke even funnier...and realizing the funnyness makes it funnier still...then you realize you're laughing at something made for kids... (Housepets!?) and somehow the inhibitions are thrown out the window and you burst out laughing. Then you notice how funnily your neighbors are staring at you, which brings your mind back to the original joke, and the realization of what's happening makes it funnier still.
By the way, in "The Caboose Who Got Loose," Katy got loose because a bolt broke loose. Sounds a little screwy to me.

Going slightly off topic now, but I'm just a little disappointed that the previous arc ended so soon. I feel that there could have been a lot more potential storytelling going on, as the arc provided the perfect setting to explore character backstories (or non-backstories?). I think the cubs could have approached perhaps Poncho, or Elaine, just for the purposes of character development?
Would also be interesting to see them interact with other residents of BG, the only arc I can think of them doing this is the water balloon war one.

Darn, here I thought this was part of the arc! I thought all the stories and damage the wolves got was from the pack of mountain lions, who were their mortal enemies. I had this whole history built in my head until I saw the one-off tag!!
