As it happens there's good news on the minecraft front. As of the second 1.8 snapshot, skins have been improved with the ability to make the right and left limbs independently, and have a hat layer for each body part (called shirt, sleeves and pant legs). This might complicate things for skins like the minepets ones, but the increased customizability is quite nice ^.^
That sounds good. And if you don't need that covering layer, I think you can still ignore it like it is with the hats presently. But for the HP-skins it will be quite usefull, the tail for example can be seperated from the back, ...

Hey guys i see you want to start a Minecraft server for housepets but are having some problems. if you want me to build and run the server (plugins commands all that stuff) i would be happy to. i have made servers in the past and know how to run them. if you want me to just say so and i will.

We have had the server run on 1.6.4 and hold 10 players, but since we have a lot more helpers we may want up to 20. That's awesome that you created a server, can you drop the ip in here?

The dimensions are fine, I'd like enough space to build but still have extra around it. We'd need to make sure that it is large enough for the build and then some.
Okay... I'll add some more tiles around the sides so we've got some extra.
Did you finish preparing that map and copy the Milton Manor in? (I'll attach it again for easy access.)

First, I want to thank the other admins of the server for taking charge of everything while I've been gone. You guys rock!
Second, when I get home, I'll make a backup of the old server and upload it in case anyone wants it for reference.
Third, I got Windows 7 installed on my old desktop, and it ironically runs better now than it did with Windows XP. I'm hoping the extra speed will allow me to run Minecraft. If it works, then I can help you guys with the server again! ^_^

Your going to need Photoshop, or paint.net in order to make the 1.8 skin. There are no editing programs for the new skin.
Since temba's oc is basically a re-color of Peanut, I'll remaster Peanut's skin, as well as make Temba's.
In fact, I'll remaster ALL THE OLD SKINS!

Whats up guys! not been on here much but i do have news. got the Minecraft server with 3GB of ram and full set of plug-ins running and have a spawn and everything going. i edited in the houses from the old server world that yellocrash hosted into the spawn. also edited the spawn over to the world that temba made. so everything is set up and ready to go. and also unlike other minecraft servers just because i host the server does not mean i am the owner. i am going to be a admin like you guys but all staff are going to own the server. so ya just get a time and we can all go build! again the server IP is Housepets.zapto.org or 98.159.70.80

Edit: The server was on last night (12:30) so I went in to look at the mansion. HOLLY HECK THAT's MASSIVE!
it encouraged me to wrap up the 1.3 (?) texture pack, I want you guys to see the place with it!
