I like America, but some things about Europe appeal to me. Problem with the UK is that they are obsessed with "Protecting the Children" with big brother CCTV and other crazy governmental programs. I hear lots of Sweden is really racist (just what I've heard Tobee). Then in Australia (not europe, but its that kind of culture grouping) you have the Australian Firewall and games are delayed months after release for asinine reasons. With America it seems people want the government to have services without paying any taxes, and that horribly crazy news pundits are taken seriously (you know who they are).

It'd be nice to try living somewhere else for awhile, but I'm enjoying Chicago. Good pizza and hamburgers, great library system, and great vibe. If it wasn't for the 10% sales tax it'd be perfect

That was quite possibly the most objective critique of the world I have ever heard.

Chicago also has great public transport. Head south a little to St. Louis for a few days and you'll really appreciate what's back in Chicago.

It didn't seem objective to me, but I guess it is compared to most things because it's so concise. And yes I love Chicago's public transportation. The Metra and the L have helped me so much living on campus downtown. I grew up in the suburbs but I wasn't going to commute to school. Public transportation is great, but taking an hour to get to and from school everyday was just not something I was going to put up with.

My dad and I had talked in passing about attempting to get an internship in Ireland where he has business friends. Maybe I should bust my butt this year and try real hard to get an internship there. If I did, I'd definitely would take a week to travel and maybe meet with some internet friends, though it'd be a bit more intimidating meeting unknown people in a country I didn't grow up in. I probably would think twice about trying something like that, but it'd be awesome to do.

i have to agree with this, the CTA is such a lifesaver. especially since we have a "L" stop right in my town, i never have to drive downtown(which is a pain)

I have to be driven like 30 minutes to get to our nearest train stop. And 15 minutes to the nearest bus stop that goes downtown. I loved how easy it was to go places when I visited Chicago. I'd walk everywhere if it weren't for time restraints, though.

played Sonic adventure on the dreamcast, it was a LOT of fun for me.
then Sonic Heroes came out and I lost all hope.

So, he lives in a so called "Swedish" neighborhood in the US, but doesn't speak swedish, instead he speaks a little german, italian and Latin... That makes no sense whatsoever! Make swedish your second language! :o :>

As long as he knows english this shouldn't be a big problem.

That's a lie Dr Prower, NC is secretly connected by a portal to Sweden. It's part of their dastardly plan to invade the US and sink Finland.

Wait a minute, how many Swedes do we even have here?! It seems like every day there are more and more on the internet (or the parts I frequent).

I hereby nominate Sweden as the honorary fourth member of the League of Major First-World Anglophone Nations. Or LMFWAN.
