Made a post! Wheeeee!
Should be slightly better quality when I finally start speaking.
And again, I'm still rusty with forum posting. Much more used to real-time RP n what not :V

Also, I think I started with 9 Charisma.
The eyes lie! Or might, depending! I'm still working on personality for the character, he has to have flaws and stuff.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
. . . . . you could put him as a fishermans personality since that was his lively hood but still needs to learn much on theiving and such since hes a jack of all trades kind of person. this way he can pass some situations but not all of them. or you could have the character being a little frightened as he notices everyone he finds is a pirate and slowly acustomes to it and shiws more of his personality.
just 2 suggestions.
69 i am not sure there is any slots open.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
He grew up on thievery, so he'd be good there. Thief first, shipmate second, and since he's no longer supporting his mother, he's more of a shipper than anything, but he still has his own carefree and happy (If not charming / lady killer) suave.
Imagine that guy from the Titanic. Yeah, This guy.
http://media5.onsugar.com/files/2011/05 ... caprio.jpg
(Safe for work / pg-13. Lead actor role for the Titanic.)
Vincent (At least for this RP) is based heavily off of Leonardo Dicaprio and his role in the Titanic, but there's bits and pieces of me tossed in there as well, a bit like a personality salad.
I'm pretty confident on which way I want to take Vincent, some guy learning his flaws, overcoming them and finding meaning on this new ship of his while perchance realigning his own stars to become a 'somebody' from nothing. A real Cinderella story, rags to riches sort of deal. At least, that's the goal.
I've done this before :V But thanks for the suggestions.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
I'm thinking I'll let in two more rat characters/players to keep things moving on that end but I'll let in one more crewpet too so we have the same amount of crew we started with. So... I'd prefer you to make a rat character but I think I do have one more crewpet slot available.69eist wrote:Excuse me, do you have any available slots here?
Koya, I'll let you play around with Vincent's stats until you're happy so long as you stay within the 42 limit. Are you happy with his strength now or do you want to boost it further? I like the ideas you have for his plot and how to play him. It should be fun to see how you go.

I'll try it like this for a bit.
As per personality upon me in Real life? I like to play Mary Sue's.
AKA, I enjoy being over powered, so people understand not to mess with me and my livelihood. Maybe it's because I'm paranoid. I don't know, but all stats are Even or above average. Strength is a bit iffy with me, he should be 10 for that, but I rather keep my other stats high as well, some that might bring about better events / persuasion to my cause. Such as higher intelligence and Charisma (In tempts to get more of what I desire.) Stats should be an on going, changing thing if you ask me (Per approval of the GM)
People change, why not characters? Might be fat, slow, but well read one month, and athletic, but brain dead the next. I don't know, maybe I'm brain dead, so tired.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Name: Shack Marrow (Captain Shack Marrow)((Captain to be))
Species: Rattus Rattues (Black Rat)
Neighborhood: 17CF
Age:30 in rat years.
Appearance: Typical black rat with a little black cloth he wears as a bandana. He carries a knife fragment which he uses as a sword.
Personality: Shack Marrow, Mmmmhhhmmmm, Captain Shack Marrow, is a manipulative rat who cons anyone who looks like a sucker. He is quite the creative merchant and would say anything to please people to get whatever he wants. He is quite the coward and always runs from a fight. Although he makes a fool of himself, he is quite clever for a sea rat.
Other Notes: Shack is a wandering pirate. He's been stealing all his life and is a great acquaintance to seafaring birds. He's always been on the hunt for treasure and he's hidden some of his own in some of the most remote locations he could ever think of. He was only once stranded on a deserted island and lived on nothing but coconuts, bananas and rum.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Koya: I agree that characters do change, just like people, but in the scale of the RPs it's very slow. I think it's best if you find how they fit your character best and then keep them constant. That's the way it seems to be done in every other RP, as far as I'm aware. I might consider letting you change them if you find that something just isn't working or if there's some major event that affects him deeply but for the most part I think they need to stay constant, sorry.
69: Looks good so far but still needs some work. Can you give him some back story? How long has he been with the Impudence? Is he a Topsider or a Bilgerat? It would probably be easier if he had always been with the Impudence or if he'd joined some time before the RP started since otherwise he'll have to find another way onto the ship...

I'm gonna need a little help with that then. So far, writers block.

69, could say he was apart of the S.S anne and some survived along with Vincent, though it'd make my survival less.... dramatic? Up to you.
Also, I'm fine with keeping it constant, and drastic event swapping sounds alright with me. I'm generally going to try to keep the character as balanced as possible, you know, ace of spaces, jack of all trades.

I'd rather not have him acquainted with anyone yet. By the way, I edited the thing already. If it needs more, just say so.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
*facepaw* I only just realised. Shack Marrow. Captain Shack Marrow. Jack Sparrow. Captain Jack Sparrow.
He looks good now. It would be amusing though if he now hates rum, bananas and coconuts due to his ordeal. That's up to you though.
I think you're good to go. Jump in whenever you're ready. He can land on either the boat or onshore somewhere. It's up to you.
Koya: Sounds good. It would be good for him to have one or two faults or weaknesses though so it's realistic because no one is perfect and no one is good at everything.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Suggestions:
Maybe his latest exploits left him stranded on an island (again) for some reason, fending for himself against the natives and dangers of the jungle. Upon finding the pirate ship not only does he find salvation, but the next big mark in his daily life of conning.
Or.
He could be sailing in his own make-shift dingy, on his way to some new and exciting location. While sailing he finds the pirate boat parked in the water and with supplies running low, he believes it to be easy pickings to restock his small boat.

Here's my submission for a rat character.
-Name-
Stint
-Character Type-
Main
-Species-
Brown Rat
-Age-
3 human years
-Appearance-
Instead of brown fur Stint has light gray fur,but other than that he looks like a normal brown rat.
-Personality-
Stint is kind, but will steal things from his friends on occasion. He enjoys the company of others. He is somewhat rebellious, but most of the time will follow orders.
-Background-
As a Bilgerat, Stint loved exploring. He would explore just about every part of the ship, and he was always getting into trouble. When they got to the island, Stint armed himself with a makeshift sword, and set off to explore the island.

Thanks, Hyper! I'm very happy with it!
As to the new character, I have two more questions. Is he a friend to Tackle or just a member of his army, and what's his opinion on the Topsiders? Once you've answered that, he'll be good to go.

Hello everyone. For reasons known only to myself and one other person, I have decided to leave this role play. It wasn't anyone's particular fault, so no hard feelings any where. You guys have all sorts of fun piratey adventures. And by all means, if something blows up, do tell me about it!
Cheers!
