Hmm... I'm going to have to try that out. The next chance I get, I think I'm gonna answer a How/Why question with the phrase, "Because she's psychic like a dolphin". ... Somehow, it would be completely worth it if even just one person accepted that as an answer!

Well, I don't really get what Grape says in the last panel... anyone care to explain? Is she threatening King? If so, then... how's that threatening? What are appendages? I'm confused....

But other than that, I liked it :). But King is sober now... :(

XD I thought it was odd how calm Grape was reacting to King's statement, and then I saw the last panel. Order is restored to the universe. I don't however think it'll be a long running conflict. Next time they meet Grape might think he's stupid or trying to be a ladies man, but he left when she... ah... implied he should leave, so he did nothing to really make her angry.
Or maybe [Pete] knew [King] left and let him to try and teach him a lesson for when he returns....
I think that is very likely. This is a good opportunity to reveal slightly more of Pete's intentions by making him seem like he was trying to protect King (While doing so in a horrible way, ie locking him in a cage), with a bit of a call back to the Christmas strip; https://www.housepetscomic.com/2009/12/ ... christmas/
For everyone who thinks he's completely evil, I think the 6th and 7th panels here show something completely different, and I think we might see more of that in the future.

I figure what might happen is that when Pete gets back, he shows absolutely no surprise that King went to the party, and King is sitting worrying about who knows he's a human, and what he's going to do, and other such things, and Pete says "I told you not to go". Something that really pushes the omniscient card.

Doesn't surprise me. Grape's never struck me as a maniac when it comes to violence. Take the way she disposed of the Marxist mouse. She just matter-of-factly stomped on him, and gulped him like a Bagel Bite.

The most boisterous she's ever gotten was at the vet, or dealing with Peanut's crush.

Oh wait, she was at that party for Fido, too. Dog biscuits :D. I just wonder if Peanut is around, and maybe Max, too....

A queen is a Female cat that has had kittens and is nursing...

Unless Rick isnt telling us something rather important, i dont think Grape is a queen.

Rick, did you perhaps edit the text in the first panel? Or any other panel? I get the feeling that something is different....

Forgot to comment last night that i find it neat that Grape defended Tarot and Peanut's relation. i would guess that Grape is getting use to Tarot now.

I'm guessing Grape is getting use to Tarot's powers also. that, or she likes to ponder if Tarot is related to Dolphins =P

I really like Tarot. I love her deadpan zaniness, like it's perfectly normal that her eye's glow and she's psychic. Loved the "I don't date humans" comic. That got a laugh.
