Re: PF: Radiant Gardens OOC
Sorry guys, I'm sick with West Nile Virus right now and it's been real hard to keep up. I'm pretty sure you all have ways to contact me if you need me to respond to something promptly. Bugging me somewhere other than here would be a great idea, seeing as I'm not following this thread well enough, obviously....
Let's see what I said about those characters first...
As for the blood thing...
Now I haven't seen a post in a couple of days. Wha' hoppon'd?

As far as I can tell, no one's raised any concerns, so go ahead and write your introductory posts.RockstarRaccoon wrote:Once again, I'ma wait for everyone to have a chance to give feedback before I approve your move-ins...
As for the blood thing...
There's been blood in the RPs before. Lots of it, actually. All this rule means is that you can't have characters beating each other to death. If a character gets injured in some way, you're not supposed to describe the wound in graphic detail, but blood is to be expected when someone gets cut. Also, if your characters fight each other, they can't be knifing each other or grievously injure each other on screen, though they can throw punches, and even claw at each other if you don't describe what happens to the person being clawed. As for the aftermath: Maxwell was bleeding at the end of the Gallifrax arc. Bleeding is just basic realism, and as long as you don't take it further than you need for that, you should be fine...the big cheese wrote:The rating of this forum is PG-13 at maximum. That means, while it is okay to mention sex, it is not okay to be explicit about it, nor to discuss it in context of specific characters, NOR is it okay to discuss explicit violence in the same manner

Oh dear. Get well soon.
I think Rockstar, that this RP is always going to be slower than the others but thats' not necessarily a bad thing. And it is still much, much faster than it used to be.

Still, they usually have posting rates higher than this. Is someone not checking back regularly to reply? If you're in an RP, it's generally expected that you check it at least once day...Hlaoroo wrote:I think Rockstar, that this RP is always going to be slower than the others but thats' not necessarily a bad thing. Edit:
I see that the two posters who had the last several-day wait were Hypernoviac and WolvenPaw. I know I had to tell Wolven to go check. Maybe Hyper should give someone a way to contact him next time?

Hyper seems to be on regularly enough, Perhaps just a PM?
And trust me, this RP is currently not slow at all compared to what it and EA used to be.

Re: PF: Radiant Gardens OOC
Yay! Welcome back!
Er... What are everyone's thoughts on this maze business? It seems fun but it also seems like it might be a bit more magic than the GM intended in the neighbourhood, especially considering our abilities are supposed to be somewhat limited. And how does one hide a room big enough to contain an entire maze? Also, I'm a little confused about the classes. I've never done RPing or cosplay or D&D or anything like that beyond what's on the forums here so I'm not familiar with the idea of class systems.
I mean no offense, Hotep. I can see you've put a lot of thought into this arc and I appreciate it. I'm just wondering if it's exactly fitting with the cannon of this RP, given what Wolven has said about it earlier...

ANY, you can think of. rogue, mage, warrior, archer, ranger, black mage, necromancer, anything and the weapons and clothes are in the chest of choice.

Again, I have no idea what classes even are since I've never roleplayed or done D&D or anythign like that before.

Re: PF: Radiant Gardens OOC
truth be told its just over actually. this kind of magic is fitting within bounderies since phsychiologgicall barriers are there, none of the characters know that they are really still in the garden maze.(spoiler) Horus is just livening things up right now. As for classes here is the four basic.
Rangers are people of long ranged to mid range combat effectiveness in the use of bows and knives, to launch at enemies, in close range combat rangers will use daggers or short swords to defend themselves, many in history of rangers have switched to have some rangers have special magical abilities.
warriors are the baasic knights in armor, they carry shields, swords, maces, hammers, and lances or polearms to help in battle, although they can be slowed down by weight some knights wear a different material armor like chainmail and carry lighter weapons, an example of this is the serbian warriors who wore leather chaps, chain mail, boots and gloves while carrying two scimitars.
Mage or magician is the final class. magic magic magic is there specialty whether healing or supporting or sticking to the offense mages will use different magic to get the job done while wearing medium weight robes or clothes

Re: PF: Radiant Gardens OOC
The trouble is though that you've still got to explain how Horus hides the maze from the non-magic users. When I suggest this arc I was thinking they'd set something up in a cornfield outside town rather than in Horus' shop. I wasn't expecting a D&D set-up either...
So these classes are basically going to define their abilities and roles in the game, correct? I'll just have to wait and find out what the game turns out to be.

Ah, I must have missed that post, sorry. I remember you saying that people don't see the magical bit of the shop but I don't recall that bit.
Alrighty then. Now that I haave a better idea of what's going on, I'll do a post for the guinea pigs and we'll get this moving again.
Bearing in mind of course that the guinea pigs have never roleplayed either.

Johnny Depp. He was awesome.

Re: PF: Radiant Gardens OOC
You know, it would be funny if they have to win a game of D&D against horus to get one of their clues because that would be playin a role play in a roleplay in a roleplay. Double roleplayception!

Re: PF: Radiant Gardens OOC
To be honest, I didn't actually think that part through. I figured it wouldn't have spikes or anything since the article I read on it specified it as a bludgeoning type of weapon.
