that isn't non-PG, nor is it a nude.

and why should a covering of fur make Rick's tasteful nudes any less tatseful than Davinci's or Michaelangelo's? Art is art, and a body is a body, regardless of furriness.

Well this escalated quickly.

Hmm I believe in my opinion a lot of it depends on the nature; lets call it "Clean art" and how it is presented. If you asked me now how I would feel about this "art" now, I'd be ok with it. If you asked me a year ago though, I may have been a bit skeptical, but again it depends on the nature and how it is presented. There are a few situations where this "art" could make since within a comic. On one hand you have a situation where either someone walks in on somebody else maybe just getting out of a shower, or someone just woke up and is getting out of bed. Those situations make since in my opinion. On the other hand though, there is a fine line between showing a panel with this type of art and then going a bit to far and having several panels in sequence continuing it. All my opinion though. I know I'm still new and don't exactly have seniority in all of this, but the way I see he's taken us this far, do you really think he'd steer us wrong?

Staying on topic, I also found this video when I was searching what furry meant: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsJBlSEKSTo

I had something to say on the Rick topic but I realised after posting I was a little late to the discussion so I moved it to Rick's poll.

On topic, furry music I would class is any music which is written with a furry theme behind it. That could simply be the picture that accompanies it or the song could actually be about furries. You might say "well what's the difference to normal music?" and to that I say "about as much as the difference between furries and non-furries!" :P

From my experience, "furry music" is just various types of electronic music so I'm not sure where the themes come in.

Is it wrong if, when searching the words "Dissension furry" on Google Images (I wanted a better look at his avatar), I end up finding at least three pictures of tychoaussie?

Hmmmmm, nope! I still can't see what's incorrect with those statements.

See, 'incorrect' is not wrong to use in those sentences, but they change the connotation to feel different than if you'd just said 'wrong'. English is fun like that.

Apparently Icelandic is one of the hardest languages in the world to learn. English isn't so much hard as it is confusing to those who don't speak it. It comes from about five different base languages, borrowing different rules from each for different words. Not to mention, the sentence structure is apparently bonkers compared to most other languages. *shrug*

To get back on topic, of the non-furries here, do you guys look up or read much other furry stuff or is it mainly just Housepets!?

I really like science fiction about aliens that don't think quite like humans, and Housepets! certainly qualifies.

Oooh, they made an Outer Limits episode out of Kelly's awesome Think like a Dinosaur.

Lately, I've been seeing my fursona as less so, and more as an avatar of sorts in the furry world. I created him in my image, but ultimately I'm me, and he's just how I represent myself in the community at large.

Just wanna put this here, I guess. I still identify strongly with the community, only in a different light now.

I found an example of how furries are making it into the mainstream. There is a horror film called "The ABCs of Death" that is a collection of 26 short horror films. The story "H is for Hydro-Electric Diffusion" has furry characters.

"Mainstream" may be a little inaccurate. It is actually quite weird. Its like a live action Tex Avery cartoon if he could get away with what he always wanted to.

That reminded me of this video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUnhPUrAD6A

People are starting to realize how important the convention goers are to the local economy. A restaurant that caters Anthrocon called Fernando's Cafe hit hard times so the furries descended on the place to buy food and help the place out. They saved Fernando's Cafe from closing. A remarkable level of community and loyalty.

Not necessarily. You could just be part of the fandom, enjoy the art, read some comics, stuff like that. You don't really need your own character.

Correct. Furries do not need fursonas. Many do, but it's not a requirement. You just gotta like anthropomorphic animals.

I don't want to arouse the ire of anyone, but I'm a spanish native speaker who has been going to english classes since first grade (Six years old, back then.), and I consider english to be so simple, that it lowers my ability with expressions within my native tongue.
