Or what about we go with "señorito" or just plain "don"

now, seriously. I think that "Amo" maintains a greater significance than "señor"
but the opinions are gonna be splitted for what I see.

Great Job Gren and don't worry I've got no problem in waiting a little
I think "Señor" fits better since, as I said "Amo is a monicker reserved for those who actually have any kind of power over you. Miles and his family are only Keene's protegés, so they have no real authority over Jeeves.

We drove you mad with that discussion, didn't we?
Rest assured that it was worth it and future generations of castellan-speaking children will be most thankfull for your correction.

Gren, thank you very much again for the translations, always looked forward to. Any particular reason you've been calling it "Priedlands" rather than "Pridelands"? :|

We really need an "spanization" of that series' title, any ideas? (doesn't need to be a literal, word for word translation)

I'm not sure about this because then I should do the same with every name of the characters, the places, etc.
Then I should start calling Peanut as "Maní" or Grape as "Uva" or King as "Rey" or Babylon Gardens as "Jardines Babilonia", etc etc... ?

Besides, it's not easy to find a equally word in Spanish. Mmm... literally I think it means "tierras del orgullo" and "tierras de la manada" (yeah, with double meaning), but that would be too longer in Spanish. It could be something like "Las Praderas" or "Las Sabanas", not sure.

Haha Grape is funny when is trying to hide her feelings X3. And Peanut and Res surely do a great duo. I would like to see another arc of these two again.
Besides, I have to admit, Fox was way too cool back then. WHY RICK YOU CHANGED HIM???!!!

Awww, you didn't take my "Cascajo" suggestion on the last panel. Saaaaaaaad faaaaaaaace. : ((((
Also, in the "red, red wine" strip, Res should say, on the last panel, "¡Ni siquiera sé lo que dije!" To make the statement clearer. And you should rename that strip "El vino que tiene asunción..." :D
And what do you think about translating Pridelands as "El orgullo de la manada"?
Huh? Huh?

1- Sorry man, I forgot about that. However, I think "miercoles" is a more common expression than "cascajo" so probably almost everyone would get it.
2- Yeah, I think I get it now, but that phrase is too long for that speech balloon. What do you say if I use instead 'pero qué fue lo que dije' or 'qué fue lo que dije' ?
3- But that's another totally different song! XD. I dunno, I prefer to stick to the original the best as possible, but if everyone agree with you then I have no problem.
4- But the series is referring specifically to the "lands" because is the central point of the story. Remember, these books are about a tribal war to take the control of the territory.

Now I have something to ask you, because I don't have idea how I should translate "tailwhipping". What you suggest?

1) Super sadface! : ((((
2) I prefer the second one, it's good!
3) Yes!
4) Maybe so, but the story can still be folowed despite that altered title.
You could translate it as "coletazo", I think that's actually the literal translation.

4- Well, I suppose this also will depend on the approval of the majority.

I thought in that too, but if you read the context, it's a bit hard to put that word in that sentence.

Yes I also thought in that, but again, how I should use it?

The phrase is: "Ten Gallons Of Tailwhipping In A Five Gallon Can"

In Spanish should be something like this: "Cuarenta litros de patea-colas en una lata de veinte"
But I dunno, thats sounds awful. Maybe would sound better if I add to the sentence "energizante"?

Honestly, I would've preferred not have seen that scene between Grape and Max because it's a bit disturbing. Thinking they're dating now but he treated her like he was her older brother... :?

1- I only translated the names when a joke was involved (I did the same with Miles cubs').
2- "Pervinca" is one of the so many names of that flower in Spanish, just check it out.
3- Besides, I wanted to use the most similar name compared to the original and turned out to be this one.
4- I've been reading and using Valerio's translations to help me on my translations since the beginning. Seriously no one noticed it? Then I guarantee you that's not the only similarity you'll find. ;) (yeah I'm a cheater, sue me XD)
legendario13 wrote:Err...cats grow up (in size) really fast...the age difference must not be that big.
It's not about the age, it's just I didn't liked that scene because disturbs me a little considering they're dating now, though I wouldn't have problem if Fox would been the one who did that.
Besides, I'm not sure about what you say, because it's a bit relative. It's true that Rodney's cub grew up just in weeks (or maybe a month), but it's also true that in this arc Grape was two years old and probably Peanut, Max, Fox, Fido and Bino were three years old.
