I'm sure there's a different, more technical term for it. But some soft cheeses have a lot of liquid. Yogurt is the same. I know some put yogurt in a cheesecloth sack and close it tight to push out the whey and dry it out.

That makes sense. It's probably less greasy that way, too.

Ever had fried mozzarella sticks that leak burning liquid into your mouth? That sucks.

Agreed. I'd much rather sleep in and just eat my first meal of the day in the afternoon.

I use my phone as my alarm and keep it on the other side of the room so I have to get up to turn it off. And that still doesn't work sometimes.

I tend to stay up too late to do that. Whenever I get to bed at a decent hour, that will happen to a degree.

Far be it for me to derail the thread, but I just had to show off!

I just wanted to take this opportunity to show off all my treasures that I got last Saturday at Mad Monster Party in Charlotte, NC! My second such convention experience.

These are the autographs that I got:

Image

The pictures are signed by:
Ogre from the band Skinny Puppy and the film "Repo, the Genetic Opera"; Gunnar Hansen, original "Leatherface"; Kane Hodder, the best Jason Voorhees; Howard Sherman, who played Bub is "Day of the Dead". The DVD is signed Mark Torgl, who played Melvin in "The Toxic Avenger". A copy of "'68: Hardship" signed by the artist Jeff Zornow. And, the book is a novelization of the film "2000 Maniacs". I had Ogre make it out to my friend Hunter because she is his biggest fan and Kane Hodder to make it out to my friend Yvonne because she has stated her desire to have his babies.

Bruce Campbell was there, but to get his autograph you had to buy a ticket and they sold out really quick. Also, for you fursuiters out there, the man that raised the bar for all of you, Mr. Haruo Nakajima was there! The actor who played Godzilla from the original film until "Godzilla vs Gigan". I didn't get his autograph because the wait to talk to him was 2 hours. There was also a fan running around in a homemade Godzilla suit that seemed to really amuse him.

I also got some DVDs and a Depry Hooves vinyl figure. All those monster toys and I got Derpy. Go figure.

Derpy is best monster toy. :P

It looks and sounds like you had a great time. I'm not someone who usually cares about autographs of pretty much any kind, but you seem so excited to have gotten all of those that I can't help but be a little jealous of you. And I'm not even someone who watches a lot of movies. (Hardly any at all actually)

Yeah, it was a challenge introducing her to the others...

"Hi! Can we be friends? Do you guys like muffins?"

It was a blast. Also, while I was asking Kane Hodder some questions, R. A. Mihailoff (who played Leatherface in the third TCM film) as a joke pushed me out of the way. He did it a little harder than he meant to and almost knocked me to the floor. Then Kane Hodder stood up for me. It was awesome.

The first step to overcoming your addiction to the internet is admitting you have a problem, then promptly ignore the problem as you love the internet.
And the internet loves you...
There are other steps past that, but most are happy with step one.
