That is not my cow, it goes 'Millennium hand and shrimp'. It is Foul Old Ron! Who would get along so well with Steve. They'd have so many wonderful conversations with themselves.

Delusional Steve is delusional.

Yeesh. I spent most of last Saturday at a shelter -- well, not me personally, of course (there isn't a lot of call for my kind) but we brought home a cute little 9-month-old puppy.

Adopt from Rescue Shelters, folks.

Because schizophrenic pets aren't pretty.

At least I can say I'm glad he's out of the pound. I wonder if he is cognizant of how bad he has it.

Yeah and he has a bedroom too. I love crazy Steve, this has made my day. I also feel like I could see him dressed up like military general and discuss battle plans with some general. Like Napoleon or someone.

Maybe it's just me, but this one-off is making me think of Delusional Steve having the voice of Prussia from Hetalia. I can even see him saying this when he looks at himself in the mirror. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIFNBqwXQPE

I think he's still in the shelter. That looks like the same kind of bunk as the first time he showed up, it's just got a blanket hanging over it.

Bit of good news: it appears that animals are not terminated after a given period, at least at this shelter.
I hope it's not wrong that I read that post in the voice of Arnold Swarzenagger after seeing the word "terminated."

If I could see what went on deep inside Steve's mind, I'm sure I would be just as mad as he.

It may be that Steve has been adopted, and in his mind, when thinking of himself, he still sees himself at the shelter. He was in their a long time, and his imagination has more memory of that than any new home. If you notice, the 2nd panel is most definitely of his cot at the shelter, but it is not quite so clear if the 4th panel is the same cot or a bed that has similar bedding.

It's of monumental importance.

*gasp!* Maybe Steve is playing U&U! And these "dolls" are just the game figurines! That means that in the forest somewhere...

...now my head hurts

edit:
Welcome to the forums, Welshalfwit. U&U is basically cosmic D&D. Some of our animal characters are the figurines, and some mythological characters are the players. Rick has said he will post a summary to remind people what the deal with U&U is whenever it appears in an arc, so don't fret.

You know, reading that summary makes me think like a rules lawyer, and that reminds me of this scene in "But I'm a Cat Person". The Beings have to fight once they enter the arena, but these two masters have figured out a loophole.

I could just see King and Tarot sitting down and arm-wrestling for the contest while Pete and Dragon watch in horror.

King: "Well, shucky darn, Tarot, you have defeated me! I guess Pete has to spend a few years as a mortal..."
