Old Comic Discussion: "Imaginate" to "Imaginate, too!"

Post by arcict »

I figured I'd make a thread wherein if anyone has comments on the current strip they might be able to post a remark or two.

at the moment I can't get it out of my head the fear I have that the griffin is only leading them off to her(his?) nest to meet her(his?) hungry kids and they're going to have to do something crazy to avoid being griffin chow or something.

I admit I've had the fear that the griffin was going to try and eat them since it first appeared, it's not like the food chain hasn't shown up before in the comic and it's starting to scare me.

Well we can only hope that the griffin is truely friendly, after all it wouldn't make much sense for the two main characters to be eaten or something. But yeah.. regardles of how friendly that griffin is, I'd never be as close to him as Grape and Peanut are... But then I'd never be tha close to anything that'd concider me bite size.

I had a thought that was scary and funny at the same time.

Grape and Peanut DO get eaten or such, and then Grape wakes up from yet another catnap, Peanut is there and he says something like "you were yelling about something and tossing and turning but you always tell me not to wake you when you're taking a nap so I didn't."

As I can just picture this event being what Grape was dreaming during Peanut's poetic leading up to the burping of her belly. What a way to wake a cat up. Brave Peanut is brave.

But Korilaz, if Grape and Peanut get stuck there that'd make Bino and Sasha the main characters.

B-but
Joey?
Fido?
...Sabrina? >3

Anyway. As Grape asked - if it has no teeth, how can it rip and tear the meat?
Then again. Could always give a demonstration... :c

If it IS a dream at least it's a sweet one! I'd love for the Griffin to become a regular char, someone and someplace they can go to relax and get away from "Real Life" for a bit.

Clearly Grape asked this because she's never met/seen bird of prey, eagles, falcons, hawks, ect. Because of their sharp, curved beaks they don't need teeth to shred meat, well that and sharp talons too.

*still falling in the sky*

nah the griffen seems friendly and may only be one of those filler episodes, so rick isn't giving you everything he's got and just make you wait instead. It's only part of the genus that makes a good comic interesting.

Wait a minute.
We can already comment on the comic itself.
Why do we need a forum topic for going just that?

Um... because making topics is fun? That and some of us are more apt to pay attention to the forum for comments one things than the comic's comment thingy? I dunno.

Huh.
Still, I'm probably more likely to use the comments on the actual comic.

But I'll repeat mine here for the sake of the topic and people who don't check the comments:

"Emus actually have two feathers on each quill.
It was not an emu. :U

OSTRICH?"
I was going to make a joke but then I did.

Heh I'm a necromancy as in-game
But back to the comic, I'm still trying to calculate how the feather got under the coach Grape was sleeping on.

I don't always see the comments and the idea of comments on the site didn't occur to me. In the main forum I attend the forum is the Only way to leave comments on the comic so I guess instinct just made me forget about the site comments.

plus, some people just prefer forums to the comic so they might get the usual order mixed around or something.

Okay, guys, what direction do you think the story will take from here? Will Bino buy Peanut a gift? Will Bino refuse, since as acting leader of the Good Ol' Dogs Club he had sacked Peanut, or will he accede to the cat-lover's reinstatement?

Will Sasha calm Bino down with more talk of insectoid aliens?

Or will it be something else?

Obviously Bino will buy Peanut a cat collar.

...actually, you know what, that was pretty muffins and cookies good.
Now I want him to buy Peanut a cat collar.

I think Bino should get Peanut a cat fursuit like that one dog has. I forget his name but he was the one that like Peanut's drawing and he was all like 'I want to wear her skin'. >D

Yeah, that's Joey. (He's one of my favorite characters, by the way.)

Anyway, the plot thickens... dissing cat-related items while talking to a cat? SERIOUS no-no.

Probably so. They have that Santa Watch thing somewhere in Canada (Vancouver I think, I dunno). If they wanted to, Santa could be hunted down. The reindeer can't fly forever, and if Rudoph is with him, then that should be an easy beacon to spot.

They'd probably leave Santa alone, do you know the uproar that would cause if Santa would go to jail. It would be the Children's Crusade II.

Maybe he only hires people who live forever...

Do elves live forever?

Maybe it's just mythical creatures, and Buddy (I think that's his name, the guy from Elf).

I don't think Santa is technically a citizen anywhere, so I can't see him being locked up for tax evasion.

He only hires elves because he's the only person who would. (They don't fit into human society.) See, Santa is an equal-opportunity employer, but few non-elves would be willing to live in sub-Arctic temperatures and make toys year 'round.

Bino's quest to find a cat-related gift for Peanut continues, but to what end? Is the next stop a catnip dealer, or will Bino move on to a new gift idea? Only time will tell!

That would be hilarious to see a figure with a big trench coat on with a high collar and a fedora with it's eyes in shadow, ears sticking out, and a big bushy cat tail wrapping around, holding out a stick of cat-nip XD! Do Want!
