 Re: T-shirts
Depends. First times I wore them four days in a row, then depends on how I feel to. I work as desk employee and as the boss' secretary at a software house. Been there for 20 years, this year

The more you question my silly, the less it works in context. Yes I was being silly.

Has my silliness evolved to the point that you don't realise what I said was silliness?
Man, I've changed

 I have a better idea
Why not just a T with the Housepets! logo on it and some of the characters, or a Housepets! comic and an url or something that says Housepets! on it, that way you can attract more readers.
When I look at the tees you have now, I'm sure that most people in my high school won't even know what they're looking at.

 Re: T-shirts
There is an older t-shirt like the one you describe (ball & yarn), but it's not in the current art style.

 Re: T-shirts
I still think the last panel of this comic ( http://www.housepetscomic.com/2010/02/08/hiding-a-tree/) would make a great shirt. I would totally buy it And that could have the logo on

 Re: T-shirts
So did anybody ever actually receive any of these shirts? I placed an order back in October, and it still just says "Status: Placed"...
When I emailed the MySoti guy, he just said "I am afraid that I cannot offer any more information", but offered to give me a refund...
Is it worth holding out hope that it'll ship eventually, or was the whole thing basically cancelled and MySoti is just hoping people will forget to ask for their refunds?

 Re: T-shirts
I like the belly shirts, but they should have the Housepets! logo and URL on the back, like the Homestar Runner hoodies.

 Re: T-shirts
So does that mean you actually received one?
I'm not sure if I should try cancelling and placing the order again, or if that would just bump me all the way to the back of whatever queue I'm in...

 Re: T-shirts
If you take a few minutes to read through the thread, you'll see the average wait time is approximately 30 days and that both Valerio and Shyanne have had their shirts for quite a while, as have other fans and users. There's even a thread for posting pictures of yourself wearing them over here. Even the first post at the top of this page is about how often someone wears them.

 Re: T-shirts
Ah, fair enough... I scanned the thread, but all I saw in my first glance was people saying "I would buy one if I had money".
To the people who received your shirts, how early in 2010 did you place your order? It looks like I only waited two months after they came up for sale to place my order; did the people who received theirs all manage to get them ordered and shipped before MySoti delayed all the orders into 2011?
For that matter, has MySoti shipped ANY of these shirts in the past five months? The "pics of my shirts" thread seems to indicate that the most recent receipt was in September...

 Re: T-shirts
Did you happen to order one using an *American Apparel* shirt as a base? Those ones can take a pretty long time because American Apparel apparently sucks real hard at fulfilling orders for other companies.

 Re: T-shirts
Good question.... I don't remember, and all my receipt says is "Guys' tees X-Large Alstyle Brown". It doesn't seem like American Apparel is an option anymore, but I think I remember it being one at the time...
Man, at this point I'm tempted to just try ordering a new one, and then just cancel whichever order doesn't ship first... am I really the only person this has happened to?

It would appear so. Sorry to hear you're having trouble with it.

 Re: T-shirts
Not really, mine took a few months to ship. I poked around on the MySoti site to find out what was up and found a blog post about it. Apparently whatever they fill in on any order to American Apparel is meaningless and it's pretty much a lottery as to what is actually delivered.
So I really can't blame them for dropping those shirts as an option.

 Re: T-shirts
I've never ordered one, but they look cool. And I just realized the irony of a scalie wearing a furry shirt.

 Re: T-shirts
Well, just to put an ending on this little story:
I went ahead and ordered a second one in April, just to see what would happen, and now it (the one ordered a month ago) has shipped. The one ordered in October is still waiting. (I've now told them to cancel it.)
So, if this has happened to anyone else: apparently MySoti orders can end up caught in limbo, so cancel and try again?

I vote for the Great Kitsune on a shirt saying: "Wanna play a game?"

 Re: T-shirts
I think more standard characters are probably going to be featured before Rick puts someone like Great Kitsune on a shirt.

 Re: T-shirts
I don't think it is a bad idea to put something that is symbolic to the Housepets comic (or something really funny) on a T-shirt though, even if the character isn't a more standard character!

 Re: T-shirts
It is when it costs money to make and stock them. People know Peanut, People know Grape and such. Great Kitsune is a background character and we don't even know how very well accepted that part of Housepets is. Rick can't spend money on shirts that have a low-sell though rate.

 Re: T-shirts
I thought of using the scene of peanut and grape holding the "explosion" sign, but I guess some people might find it offensive (I remember reading that some people had problems for using the "I'm a sexy shoeless god of war" t-shirt). some other ideas for T-shirts: 1)the last two pannels of this strip http://www.housepetscomic.com/2008/06/0 ... eanliness/2)Grape saying: "I love you too, now let me sleep!" 3)http://www.housepetscomic.com/2008/07/07/channeling-you-at-age-8/ this strip speaks for itself.
