Reginald frowned, while his face was going sleepy. "Dad would never hurt me, bad kitty..." he yawned. "Wanna stay with him. Forever and ever and ever..." and while he spoke, thin tendrils moved like wisps of vapor out of his body and straight to join the ghost's aura.
"That's right, my boy. Forever, with you..." Reg's father was lulling and cradling his own son into an endless sleep...
---
"Maps, compass...tss, just tell Stojo to get you out of here right now, boy: we don't need an extra body to occupy our space."

"You're not getting him today," Levi said as he began to run towards the ghost.
he dove to knock Reg out of the spirit's arms. He would have tackled the spirit instead, but he didn't know if he could physically interact with a spirit.

Reginald did barely react when his body was ripped off the ethereal arms.
"HE'S MINE!" the ghost roared, his face twisting in a demonic snarl. "Give my son to me!" he made as if to run after Levi, but Bart put himself between them.
"You go, Levi! Now! Soon the others will join him, open that door!"

"Right, I'll take the quick way"he said as he imagined up a door. Like he did when he brought Lars, he opened a trapdoor under himself and Reg, hoping he didn't need to remember the exact location of Reg's village to get there.

A loud roar and a flash ripped the air, before...both cat and pup landed in some closed environment.
The darkness was broken by a dim blue light.
There was a strong smell of rabbit, everywhere.
And bones and...tails and other animal anatomical parts hanging from the walls.
"Is that a parting gift of sort?" said a male rabbit with weird large eyes and...sharp teeth in his grin as he contemplated Levi and the sleeping Reginald. "Because I like it."
And there was a dog who looked quite baffled...

"well, I guess I need to learn to aim those things," he said, noticing he was obviously not in Reg's village. Then he noticed the two animals that were with them. "Can you guys tell me where I am, cause I need to get this guy back to his village for rest."

"Why go anywhere, dear?" the rabbit said. He was smiling, and his eyes were showing that same unsettling hunger the ghosts possessed. "We would be very happy to have you at dinner."

valerio wrote:"Tsk, testosterone..." Gilestra mumbled, then, "The idea, Demon-Lord, is that you and Lars join forces to help Shadowclaw solve his problems. Frankly, his presence is a potential threat, too big to be left unattended, don't you agree? And yes, it would be nice if you explained everything to him."
["I am still a demon, Shaman! It is my nature to act like this."] He pointed at Lars ["If it is testosterone you seek - your pupil have that for at least the two of us."]
["But let's change to the real subject: even I can see the flaws in this, Shaman Gilestra!"] The demon said ["A volatile being such as Shadowclaw cannot be aided by a would-be-shaman who doesn't have perfect control over his feelings! I can still sense anger and fear in him - feelings that at this moment feed me."]

["Pitiful mortal misunderstanding..."] The demon shook his head ["Things do not happen like this. I don't grow much stronger from feeding on only his negative emotions and I certainly do not free him from them."] he grinned devilishly ["If I however feast on his soul, which if willingly given will make it taste much better, this might be enough to put a permanent ward on Shadowclaw, but at a price neither of you will like."]

The GSD was struck down, but he got up again and faced this monstrosity. His shaman tattoos began to illuminate again, and soon the whole hut was immersed with a bright cyan light. With his body standing still beside Gilstera, he burst out of his physical form and had his soul face the demon. Uttering a few words, he began using his mind to create a tough restraint around the demon, binding his paws and feet together with a vice like grip. He reached a paw out and grabbed the demon's neck and slammed him to the ground hard!

Huffing a sigh of disapointment, he went over to the fallen demon and placed a feetpaw upon his face, slowly crushing his skull. ''Once again, I am far from being a mere whelp, whelp. I am Shaman Lars. What you saw and experienced was a mere piece of what I am capable of. I will follow what High Shaman Gilestra orders me to do, even if it means dragging your fat *** and tossing you back to the depths of the underworld. But of course, we will have to work together on this one. Therefore, do not test me, demon!'' Lars said, stepping off his face and releasing the psychic mind restraint around his body. He then proceeded to step back inside his physical body.

''Apologies, High Shaman. It is unacceptable that I do not speak my mind when I have been tampered with. Go on and instruct us what to do.'' Lars said, bowing to the rabbit.

Adel took some offense to that, but nevertheless tried to keep his cool. "I am not faking. I am from a town vest of Berlin named "Falkensee." Und I have not heard of this "Lan-cast-er" ... vat is it?" He asked, tilting his head slightly to the side. This promised to be an interesting conversation.

["Pathetic! Pathetic! Pathetic!"] The demon shouted as his broken form sank into the ground and rose just less than a meter away from the GSD ["You show some promise, doggie, but I am no demon that you can scare with a show of strength!"]
A dozen shadowy tendrils rose from underneath Lars, surrounding him. ["Let me introduce you to the tortures of the Green Ignis Fornax Flame clan!"] The shadowy tendrils turned into thorny versions of their previous form and attacked the canine as one, covering the GSD throughout. The demon raised his paw once more and from the shadowy, thorny cocoon Larses spirit was torn out, impaled by many green, burning spears.

The Demon's eyes burst in green flames, as his devilish smile was once again on his face ["Remember the face you see right now, for it will haunt you in your dreams!"] The impaled spirit was engulfed in green flames, emanating not light, but darkness. Those flames were coming from the demon itself. ["You will see why we were once the strongest of the clans!"] with these words, the demon and Larses impaled spirits disappeared from the mortal realm, the body still engulfed in the dark cocoon, which now hardened to the point to resist any physical damage.

They materialized in a dimension where there was no sky, no horizon and the only light was coming from the green Lava, erupting from the volcanoes around them. The ground was hard, sharp, hot rock with the same sickly green nuance. The air was filled with sulfur and poison.
["Welcome to my territory, Mortal! Now, you'll be chained to the ground!"] The demon said as giant chains broke from the ground and chained Larses spirit to the ground. From the inner part of the chains a few demonic stingers grew, Stinging the spirit and infusing demonic poisons in his essence, paralyzing it.

["These will hold you in place!"] The demon laughed ["But those like you can't simply be broken by mere damage on your spirit. Oh no no no, I will break your soul as well!"] he shouted and behind him (which is in front of Lars) Two torture altars rose from the ground, as some began to circulate around both of them. On the altars appeared both his mates*, chained to them, helpless and a bunch of low ranked demons tortured and laughed at them. ["Your mates seem to be having quite the fun with the grells**, do they?"] The demon asked, not turning towards them himself, but looking at Lars and grinning.

((OOC: * - They aren't real, but Lars couldn't know.
** - grells are low ranked demons))

"LAAAAAARRSS!" Athena was shouting/howling, while her body was being maimed. She looked at him, her eyes burning with cold fury. "You had a duty to us!"
"You failed! Be cursed for this" Diana said, tears of blood running down her cheeks, her mortal shell treated like the toys of a cruel god, to be broken, twisted, bruned... That both were still alive only witnessed to the ability of their torturers.
"Kill us!"
"Spare us from this torment!"

Fudge rocket, way to offend the guy. Khun thought.

"Sorry, it's hard to tell sometimes, d-didn't mean to offend you," Khun said, "But it's supposed to some sort of fishing village with a good sized dog population. Lovely, just what a person like me needs. I've been avoiding it though. This island makes my skin crawl."

Adel waved off the apology. "It is okay. Is zis village on zis island? Und vhy vould you avoid it?" he asked, now curious about this village and why Khun wouldn't leave the hotel. Again, he decided that now wouldn't be the time to ask why Khun wouldn't disclose that.

"If you know where it is... I vould not mind an adventure."

"I was reading the map last night, so I have some idea," Khun said, "But hey, what point is having a vacation if you can't have a little fun right? I wouldn't mind. It'd be great to have someone to talk to. I miss Nimh. Oh, and like I said. This island just makes my skin crawl. It's wierd."

This time, Lars was caught off guard. As soon as his soul had been brutally torn out from his body, he was immediately put through tortures a normal being wouldn't be able to handle. Lars had begun to panic as he felt seep into his soul, which had begun zapping his energy. To add salt to the wound, Diana and Athena had been captured and tortured! His two loves in the whole wide world had been beaten and scarred, and were already begging the demons below them to end their lives.

An all familiar situation. He remembered his training in Zilnawa. The long stance beneath the cold waterfall and the torturous tests of endurance Shaman Yago and Lazlo put him through. He was not only physically strong in body, but in mind and soul as well.

But, how did...Athena and Diana become part of this nightmare?! Lars was skeptical, but there was only one was to find out. He raised his alert ears and closed his eyes, trying to search for a sign which pointed to some concrete evidence.

Within a few seconds, Lars widened his eyes. A sly grin slowly stretched across his weakened face. The poison had indeed ravaged the GSD's soul, but one thing was clear: those two Lycaons were not his mates.

Lars nodded as he lay chained to the hot ground. ''Well, you got me. So be it. But like I mentioned, this is only a certain degree of what I can do.'' Lars said, still grinning as he prepared his mind to enter a new realm. ''By the way, I have no idea who those two canines are. Go ahead and kill them. I'll take care of this problem I'm in and I'll destroy you later.'' Lars said. Closing his eyes again, he begun....meditating. His mind put his body in a deep sleep, and began recuperating to reject any poison which had affected his spirit. The lessons he learnt in Zilnawa definetly paid off. He had been stung by numerous Whispars and instead of rest and medicine, he was forced to meditate by the two lion shamans....day and night.

As the GSD meditated and uttered this unknown language, a light blue sphere surrounded his body, with the ancient text of Tricana revolving around it. His mind entered a state of calmness as he tried to connect with Shaman Yago.

''High Shaman Yago. It is me, Lars. May I request an audience with you?'' Lars said, waiting for a response.

"Yeah, those teeth kind of told me this wasn't your average rabbit. I just saved this guy from getting eaten by ghosts, now I'm dealing with the Monty Python rabbit?" he said with a sigh, quietly so as not to be heard. Then he made a point to be loud enough for the rabbit to hear what he said next. "Glad I found you, buddy. The big guy over there wore himself out and I need your help getting him home."

Adel nodded and stood up. What better way to relieve himself of being cooped up than to go on an adventure? And right after getting a nice breakfast to boot, he thought.

"I like zis idea, he replied, already starting to get a bit of a gleam in his eyes. The word Nimh stuck out in his mind, and he repeated it back: "Nimh... vhat is zat?"

He didn't know why, but he suddenly remembered the girls he met on the first day of the trip. The ones that took him to their village. He wondered if he'd run into them while adventuring with Khun, but shook the thought away, telling himself that it would be too unlikely.

Now that he knew that, everything clicked. It made sense that Khun would be depressed about his daughter being taken from him. So the question was why. He didn't know whether it'd be appropriate to ask, though. Frustrating.

He nodded, and hoped Khun would go on. He hadn't realized that they were walking as they talked, and had already reached the entrance (or from their perspective, the exit) to the hotel. He didn't notice this until he ran into the doors. That garnered a surprised yelp from him, and he grasped his nose.

"Dream what?" Lucky turned and mouthed to Levi. "Uh yeah, yeah I am."

He hoped that was a good thing, chances are he was going to have to run. Cornered by rabbits in a little hut deep beneath the ground. What a claustrophobic and ridiculous way to go.

That did explain a bit right there. Not quite enough to be satisfied, but for the moment it was going to have to be enough. He wondered if opening his mouth would do him any good at the moment. "Ah yeah...it's...hard to grasp sometimes."

Lucky did not need to be told twice. He hobbled over to the cat and nodded at the rabbits. With a sigh he looked over at his new acquaintance, seems like he didn't need the help earlier. Now he was saddled with a big dog with a limp. Feeling a little guilty, Lucky reached down and lifted the younger dog into his arms.

"Hey I got him, it's no problem." Lucky nodded towards the cat as he turned towards the rabbits. "And...uh...thanks for the hospitality."

He glanced down at the dog, who could not have been much older than one of his brothers. Looked like he had been through quite a bit before he got there. Lucky carried the dog out of the door, standing close to the cat.

Lucky came to a sudden halt and turned towards Stojo. That was one rabbit he was in fact happy to see. Seems like things were turning out quite nicely. He had no intentions of hobbling around for exit.

"Right on time! Jeez any later and I would be wandering around wondering what to do next." Said Lucky. "Lead on!"

Then, in a hushed voice, he turned towards Levi and spoke. "I still didn't catch your name...nor his." He said as he gestured towards the dog in his arms."I'm Lucky by the way...nice to meet you."
At the end of the day I often think about what I have done for the world. What I have changed, perhaps made better or worse. I then sit at a computer for hours and look at pictures of cats.

<These guys got an awfully good hearing, you dolt!> whispered a voice...inside Lucky's mind and ears at the same time. <Questions only when you're out of here. And his name his Levi and the young one's Reginald.>

The dog nearly jumped out of his skin at the sound of the invisible voice. First killer rabbits, then dreamwalkers, and now voices popping up in his head. Winning that sweepstakes, the luckiest thing to ever happen to him, must have caused a rupture in the space time continuum! Now he was swimming in every bizarre thing he could think of, what was next? Was his life as he knew it a game of cosmic D&D?

He looked around and concentrated for a moment. <Thanks for heads up...whoever you are.>

<You're welcome, lad. I'm Bartholomew. Bart, if you like. I died of starvation many years ago in an old rabbit underground network, and it was nowhere intricate as this place. Levi found my remains and brought them home. We're on friendly terms since then. He's a nice guy. The pup is from Lancaster Village, a place of fishermen and breeders of the race Reginald belongs to.>

<Nice to meet you Bart. Kind of nice to find a couple of people not out for my tail or something. So is that where we're headed next, Lancaster I mean?>Lucky took great care not to deviate from the path that Stojo was walking. Lest he meet the same fate as good old Bart. It was a wonder those rabbits could find their way anywhere with so many intricate networks of tunneling.

The moment the demon felt the mental contact, his eyes widened. With a furious roar he raised both his paws in the air ad above them - a sphere of greed magma-like substance formed.
["Fool!"] he roared and slammed the sphere into the chained spirit, causing an explosion and leaving nothing left than just another crater on the landscape, which began to fill with the green lava.

The cocoon Lars was in began to vibrate, then suddenly blew up in shadowy, green explosion, which did not harm the environment nor the rabbit shaman. From the explosion Two figures appeared - the figure of Lars (now in body and soul) and the demon who pushed him to the nearby wall with claws on his neck.
