Wow, Joey looks pretty awesome! I wonder if those are just his dress goggles, or a permanent accessory for him. Squeak wants to run.... I say let her! :D

I love the alt. text.....

Ok, first off, I don't know if that's even a viable thing as pets. King, you are a dog. Stop acting like a human!

So I wonder if this is just symbolic (which I think is most likely) or if they can actually get married because back in the early part of the comic Peanut said that Pets can't move in together when talking to Grape about Joey and Squeak or something to that effect.

Val commencing intense squee in 3...2...1..

This is something i never expected either. What sucks is when i take a deep look into it, Rick pulled a clever fast one. A dog with a uncanny personality is certainly good to test out in this particular universe, but considering when you think about it, a dog with human traits is fun to watch.

Sadly, this most likely means my dream of Max and Grape getting married went down the drain. </3 Unless we count them as the cat-related equation of a marriage, which i doubt.

Its Kings choice at this point (though with this we can likely safely say what one he made) Pete likely could do it but it would get him in even more trouble then he already is and screw him over in the game unless there is another Avatar able to beat Tarot. So I doubt he will.

This is why I think its meant to be Symbolic rather then a real marriage. Otherwise King would have to be completely ignorant of his own worlds laws (or alternatively this is one of the things Rick is Retconning) on the subject and considering that he worked with PETA and stuff I find it extremely unlikely (bordering on impossible really) he would not know if this was actually possible or not.

ok, that was TOTALLY unexpected
However, I think this is fulfilling my prediction of a atypical Christmas ending, I guess XD

Well, of course is symbolic since we know pets can't get married, but I think despite that, he is going seriously (unless the ferrets have found another loophole).

The face of Bailey is so EPIC! I will never forget it

What would be really funny if there are other seeing this, that would be really awkward for King and for whoever is watching. Specially someone like Peanut, Grape, Tarot or Bino, I want to see their faces XD

I am actually somewhat concerned that Bailey is going to say "no."

I dunno. My cynical side is telling me that this just seems way too sudden to possibly work. But at the same time, I also can't imagine this arc is just gonna end with King getting rejected on a marriage proposal (god that sounds weird in the context of this comic). Unless... she does decline his offer--possibly violently--and that pushes King over the edge and puts him back in range for becoming Pete's avatar. Hm...

Oh Rick, what have you done? First I was excited, then I realized how poorly timed King's proposal was, and then I saw Bailey's face.
I hope I'm wrong when I say this will not end well. Please prove me wrong.
Best case scenario: Marriage with poppies.
Worst case scenario: King on an orange soda binge.
Mid case scenario: Forgot this ever happened.

I felt the same way. What if she says no and King's resultant depression drives him back to Pete or to becoming a human again.

I'm totally speechless. On the one hand I can see what he's doing, she has lost her family and he wants her to feel like she belongs somewhere but this is quite a jump, I only hope it's not off a cliff.

D'awww, you see? I knew it going to be a happy and funny ending, it's Christmas after all. Congratulation for the couple. ;)
However, I'm not going to take them as a canon couple until the end of the cosmic game, because even if now we saw the decision of King to stay as a dog, we know that there's powerful creatures playing in background, and as said Kitsune, sometimes their decisions can be overridden.

The next (imaginary) strip:

Dragon: (spying behind some bushes) oh no, it's too late :|
Tarot: I told you to use the broomstick, but NOO, you had to make me run up here with this stubby legs *pant* *pant* :x
Karishad: What are we seeing? :P
Tarot: ACK! Kari, since when are you here? :o
Peanut: Hey Tarot, until at last I find you. I wanted to ask you ... wait, what are you ... you're stalking them? I didn't know you have this kind of hobbies :?
Tarot: No! It's not what it seems!
Max: Hey guys, has anyone seen Grape? Uhm, what is going on here?
Karishad: Hush, shorty just made a marriage proposal to that husky tomboy. And for their faces, it's seems she say yes.
Peanut/Max: HE DO WHAT??!! (jaw dropped)
Tarot (to karishad): you are not surprised at all? :?
Karishad: Nah, I just had a proposal from a ferret a few months ago.
Tarot: yeah, I shouldn't ask :?
Pete: all goes as planned. Too slow Dragon, now you're in check. And for you King, the fun is just beginning MUAHAHAHAHA! 8-)
*puff*
Zach: Oh geez, not weird dreams again! :x

Merry Christmas to everyone!! *hugs*

I honestly think the idea of Bailey ignoring the ever-charming kiss that everyone wanted to see in favor for a butt sniff is the funniest thing i seen in this comic. It's a left field moment, but one of the least predictable ones because we keep forgetting they are dogs. Only cats liplock! X3

This definitely is the coolest christmas arc.
