Recently rediscovered the band Suicidal Tendencies.
I like their earlier stuff best.
Institutionalized
Possessed to Skate

I'm not a big fan of Thrash metal (or any metal really), but Crossover Thrash is good (Thrash and Hardcore Punk).

Going to see Straight Line Stitch thursday. I'd never heard of them and just wanted to see a metal show but apparently they're relatively big. Staight line Stitch:taste of ashes.
I can't wait, it's been far too long since I've had a chance to get rid of some agression. Should be quite therapeutic.

What's the longest song title you know of?
For me it would be "I Like the Rockefellers' First Two Records, but After That..." by Omar Rodriguez-Lopez.

And during Red Flag there was a huge pit - I'm talking about 15 metres across - that was also awesome. Well worth the long wait to see them, wasn't about to miss them after I did three years back!

I didn't realize that thrash had gone anywhere. It has always been around, just in varying levels of popularity with the mainstream. It did move to Gothenburg, though.

well the thrash revival refers to the relatively new movement of ironic retro thrash fashion and tounge in cheek humor in the music. It's like thrash that both admits how silly the conventions of thrash are while also embracing them. At least that's how I define it.

More like being the return of the living dead of thrash metal. The music stands on its own but it definitely parodies the acts that influenced it/came beore it.
More lich king. Because metal this one is called axe cop and is based on an independent comic written by a six year old (apparently his older brother thought it'd be funny to draw something his little brother wrote and the idea stuck.)

I just realized finally getting a roommate means I can't blast Cannibal corpse at 2 a.m. anymore
