Re: Cartoons, Anime, whatever you call em!
Just found it. The only problem I found is that you're forced to watch ads at different intervals throughout each episode. The same goes for Crunchy Roll.

Something that is awesome for me is that I am running a club at my school were we watch anime as a group. The room we watch it in is shaped like a small movie theater and has a big screen projector, so it is like going to a 4 hour movie every week. It's awesome!

If your group is looking for any anime suggestions, try School Rumble. You'll laugh your butts off and the actual story line is really good too.

Re: Cartoons, Anime, whatever you call em!
I've recently discovered the manga Toriko (which made my mouth water a few times). The manga is great and naturally I've started to watch the anime. the disappointment can't be fully translated to words. They've added a filler character (a female reporter) that adds to NOTHING to the story and is flat out annoying. I think I know why they did it. The only significant female character (Rin) barelly has any role in the manga and they didn't want the anime to have almost no females, but it's still no excuse for a poorly designed character just to appeal to the female demographic. How about make Rin more significant and deep? As for the animation, the censorship made me angry, as usual. Tommyrod's insects come out of his mouth in the manga, but in the anyme he spit's a energy cloud that turns in the insects. and to finish my angry rant, the movemtnts are awful. The battle against the parasite emperor was a joke. they were too freaking lazy to ANIMATE that thing (they're lazy to anime many moments, but you get my point).

Started rewatching Code Lyoko in preparation for which I hope comes to America. Never finished the series when I was younger. It gets really good around Season 4. Apparently, there will be a new Lyoko Warrior named Laura. Awesome! Never thought I'd be so jealous of France.

I thought Code Lyoko was pretty popular in America, so I don't see why not.

I remember Code Lyoko from when I was in Junior High. It was one of my favorite shows! I do hope they bring it to the US soon.

 Re: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
Excellent. What Bizarre Adventures have you experienced? I've read the manga from Part 1 Phantom Blood and am in the middle of Part 6 Stone Ocean. I've watched all of the OVA for Part 3 Stardust Crusader. And I just watched episode 1 of the new anime that came out Saturday I think. I pretty much discovered JoJo within this year and I was like and then I was like ...It's...so...beautiful.

 Re: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
To be honest I thought it was alright but I was disappointed they basically took out half the fights. Last couple episodes were pretty cool. Especially when Kakyoin made his awesome re-entrance. You should watch the new anime it's starting off in Part 1 but I think that it may do the entire series thus far (which is like 80 volumes long) and if you haven't already you owe to to yourself to read the manga. If you need help finding it just pm me. (I don't think it would be proper giving out links on the forum)

 Hunter x Hunter
Who else here is a fan? Doesn't matter what version. Manga. 99 anime. 2011 anime. Whatever.
Discuss it here.
Please no arguing over which one is best. I like all three. The manga is my favorite followed by 2011 and then 99 but that's just my opinion and since 2011 is on going that could change.

 Re: Cartoons/Comics/Anime/Manga/Whatever!
I have been compelled to watch two animated movies as of late. "The Amazing Screw-On Head" and "The Last Unicorn". That is a very strange combination... Just watch this and you might begin to understand: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHLw2lyLnA8

The Last Unicorn is a childhood favourite of mine. Brilliant story with good twists and nice animation.

I just recently discovered a show called "The New Adventures of Kimba the White Lion", and I've never been this much into a show that I need to have subtitles to understand. Its just... Awesome.

 Re: Cartoons/Comics/Anime/Manga/Whatever!
There are some subbed videos with parts of this anime movie, but they give too much spoiler. It's also has a very touching story and some bizarre yet awsome fight scenes (jurassic tae-kwon-do)

We discuss comics here too? Does that mean this thread viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1187&start=240is redundant?

Almost, but not quite. One has to do more with webcomics then it does print comics.
