Pet Thread #Meow Woof Squeak
2nd tittle #Pet Thread #Nyang! Mang! Jiik!
3rd tittle #Pet Thread # Sniff Sneff Nose
This place is where you can talk about pets. not Housepets, but just real pets. share about story of your pets, ask question about pets, give advice about pets. etc

so How/what do you play with your pets?

I play hide and surprise with my cat.

first I sneak behind my cat and surprise her. then I hide behind something. then my cat sneaks on to me and surprise me.
pretty simple play but it's fun.
I also play chase with her too.
I wonder how dogs play with their owners.

If you want to share a picture of your pets... http://www.housepetscomic.com/forums/vi ... ?f=7&t=239

I got a dog.
Usually play "Chase" with her. It's fun, runnin around the house and all that stuff. Til we get to this one circular table in the dining room.
Then we just go round
And around
And around
And around
And around...

I've been trying play fetch with her. But... she only does the first half of the game...

Are you the one who's being chased? Or you are the one who chases?
I usually chase after my cat.

One of my cats, he loves lucky charms cereal (I don't know why)
He'll also watch cartoons. And I mean he sits there and stares and pays attention. His favorite is tom&jerry.
When he doesn't get what he wants, he yells and won't stop until he gets it.
And he's a white cat, nothing but white, with odd-eyes.

Usually I chase her. But sometimes I switch it up and run a different way, then she chases after me. But either way it usually ends with me being either tired, or not wanting to play anymore. Chasing is fun, but after 10-15 minutes...

I tried the hide and surprise game with my dog today... The 'surprise' part is proving to be hard...

  that's funny. my cat sits on dinning table whenever my mom cooks fish and my cat watches window channel all day.

it took me a year of practice to able to sneak and surprise my cat. I'm stealthy as Sam Fisher now.

my family is planning to own a dog as a pet in about 6 months, and I totally have no idea how is it like to be a dog owner. what do they do and what do you do with them? I can imagine playing fetch but other than that, no idea.

You need to housebreak them, and make sure they understand you are in charge.

Depending on the breed, dogs can grow very attached to you. I sometimes nickname one of my dogs "love muffin" since he follows me everywhere and docks his head on our legs.

Also, a warning, a beagle will eat EVERYTHING in the world, even when they have cancer and are going through chemo. Just a heads up. I just got a little sad ;_;

One thing I know about dogs; they can't walk across tile, hard wood, or linoleum floors. No matter how slow they walk, I always see them skid and slide out of control.
Maybe not true with all dogs, but it is with ones that I know.

My dogs can easily walk on tile and hard wood. However one of them can not sit on that type of floor since one of their back legs begin to slide. They also can not run since then they slide all over the place, and also scratch up your floor.

Now there is a problem, I may get attach to dogs little too much. If dog and I get attached to each other little too much, my Inner snugglness will get out of control. I might spend all day playing, hugging, petting and talking to a dog.

It depends if they get along. Your cat may become annoyed by an energetic puppy, or they could just simply ignore each other. It just depends on each animal.

My dog is smart enough to fetch sticks. But, another game that he likes to play is he likes to take the sticks and break them into smaller sticks. Just sits there with the braced between his paws and bites them into pieces. He is special that way.

You might be surprised. I used to only care for cats... the only dogs I really knew were some annoying yappers of canines. Then I met some cool dogs.

Noise has never really been an issue with any of my animals. Mostly the dogs only barked to let out a warning that someone or something is coming near the house.

I would love to have a fennec fox, but they do tend to have major freak outs.

My dog's name is Tiger. It wasn't until I started reading Housepets that I started to wonder if I somehow damaged him by giving him that name. I wonder if I raised a dog that is hopelessly insane.

my dad has like four dogs. one is a regular-sized dog, a mix between a golden retriever and a yellow lab. she looks nice because she has the goldish color of golden retrievers, but short fur like a lab. three chihuahuas too, a pure white (pure, excluding a spot of creme on his head) one, a black and white one, and a brown and white one, who is the mother of the other two.
there is no such thing as luck. if there was, there would surely be at least one person with all of it, and nothing bad would happen to them ever. but as far as I can tell, bad things happen to everyone.
