 Re: Art Thread
Nice, simple, clean style and lines. What's the jagged line between the eyes? Is the background a highly blurred sunset picture or something you came up with?Aaah! I see it is from a photo you took. Good blending it with the character!

Awesome!!!!! I like how you did a shadow point. Ain't he nice looking? Ok, I'll give you some critiques even tho I'm not good at drawing. I think you can improve your self/your fursona by giving a skeleton of cat, like this cat. That's about it. Conclusion : Nice work!

 Re: Art Thread
When I first got the idea for my fursona, I asked Zander to draw him for me, which you can see here. He added the line, as part of his style, so that it could serve as in indicate where the fur changes color, but sense Seth is grey, it wasn't needed for that. I wanted to kept the line there as a facial feature The only other unique feature Seth has is that his hands are a slightly dark garnet color. I'll try to do that when I start drawing more, but for now, I like Seth to be illustrated with a stronger anthro style, more than an animistic. For the actual shape of his face, I used this as a reference. I don't know who drew it, but I know that it was for R3Create.

So I had another commissioner so yay! He's a sheep moth, or say the commissioner says so, but he's a moth at least.

 Re: Art Thread
Possibly the first piece of art that I'm truly happy with.
Title is, fittingly enough, "I'm your huckleberry." If you don't know that quote, shame on you... Anyways, it was done for a friend over on FA-- drawing my fursona over and over again got boring.
What do you guys think?
Oh, and by the way, the gun's a top-break Smith & Wesson No. 3 Schofield revolver. It was far superior (IMHO) to the classic Colt Single Action Army; the Smith's more than twice as fast to reload and it has bigger, clearer sights.

Work doodles can sometimes turn out surprisingly well. Of course, depending on your work environment, explaining them to co-workers can be interesting.

 Re: Art Thread
Hey, that's pretty good Arjay. Remember, you're your own worst critic.
I don't draw, but I have done a few photoshop-ish type things in Paint.net. I have had times when I asked someone what they thought and they were blown away by what I did, and all I could see in it was fault here, fault there, the entire thing still looked horrible to me.
If it's not up to your standard of where you want it to be, then don't just say "it's good enough" and leave it, but don't think that it's bad. Always get other peoples opinions before you decide it's bad.
If you would like a truly unbiased opinion on something, send me a PM and I'll be glad to give you one.

 Re: Art Thread
its not the quality that depresses me, its the story that developed in my head when I drew it

I don't know what you could think of while drawing that that could depress you.

 Re: Art Thread
backstory, emotion of subject matter, additional characters and their situations, that sort of thing.
I also do a lot of writing so that just happens whenever i draw something, no matter what the drawing is.

I did some small practice for using adjustment layers for shading. Right now the only think seperating cats from dogs sometimes is a shorter muzzle

 Re: Art Thread
Hey. It's time for more of my mom's work. This time, it's one of her non-portrait projects: Chair Styling She made this for me for an early birthday present. Here's the front The fabric and the clocks on the back were store bought, She did the logo and the time vortex on the legs of the chair. A closeup of the seat front A couple closeups of the back The back of the chair a closed view and a closeup of the back not pictured are the numerous tally marks on the underside of the seat. as before, more of my mom's work can be found hereand she can also be commissioned for portraits or chairs there.
