Stats is actually pretty easy if you're capable of logical thinking.
Physics is a different story *shudders*

I went through many math classes, they all seem to blend together now. Let's see, in high school there was geometry, two more advanced math classes, and calculus 1. In college I had calc 2 and 3, differential equations and linear algebra. Overall most of my classes were based around math. That's what happens when you go for a degree in engineering.

Engineering made me appreciate the "liberal arts" classes a great deal. When you spend all day doing calculations, doing things with, let's say, a more human touch, would be like ice cream on a hot summer day. It would be like ice cream if it were not merely more work that must be done on top of an already ludicrous schedule.

Principles of mathematics is only for people who study math. Statistics is actually really fun and not that hard. Physics is pretty great, though some of it can get tricky. Thermophysics was my favorite physics class.

It's a good idea to be varied in your learning. The more subjects you learn, the broader your world view.

Physics!!! Physics is interesting.
We're getting into special relativity. EVERYTHING YOU KNOW IS A LIE!!!

I love any class that has me programming. I've had a couple "theory" courses (computer theory??? :| ), and I always missed programming something, anything! I'm actually bored currently cause we don't have any projects yet -_- though I do have a side project for once, so I can get working when my schedule settles :D YAY!

I don't know how you guys can have fun in math and science classes, I prefer in my classes with a little room for interpretation . Math and science are too rigid for my tastes I much prefer to study people and/or art.
Different strokes for different folks I guess.
On a semi-related note philosophy is the best class ever, I get to keep finding new ways to say everything is relative and we know nothing until I get a 4 point :P

I believe that it is better to expound an idea through writing instead of discussion.

This semester I'm doing a maths subject consisting of cryptography, graph theory, enumeration and design theory; a lot of logic and proofs. For those who like geometry try Euclid's "The Elements". It's about the dryest 13 papers on geometry and number theory you could possibly find but all of the proofs fit together so elegantly. I managed to find an awesome copy at a book drive, the Encyclopedia Britannica "Great Books" version, it's set out really well.

Other than maths, I'm doing reaction engineering, surface chemistry and unit operations at uni this semester. The first two are really fun (they make sense and are fairly math based) but the last is horrible. :( I would love to do a philosophy class instead but my degree doesn't have room for it.

Also, when do people in America go back to school/uni because I'm already half-way through my semester. :?

End of August, beginning of September.
but you probably get out sooner. our fall semester ends around Christmas, our spring Semester starts a couple weeks into January and our spring semester ends in early May.

May is my favorite month because whole flora achieves the peak of its blossom. And it gets so warm that you just want to go outside, lay down on grass in inhale deeply the sweet scent of flowers. Yet I have to be on school then...

I tend to do that too. I always say to myself that I'll go sleep earlier, but it always happens that something catches my attention and I go to sleep like 2, 3, sometimes even 4 AM, knowing that I have to stand up early to walk my dog out.
Sometimes it also depends do I need to work.
But even if, I never try to drink coffee or some taurine+sugar junk because it's not healthy.

On an actual subject, myself and some friends are looking for some others to play D&D with, I was wondering if anyone here was interested? Location is not an issue, nor should the monster manuals and things.

I often end up working in Photoshop or staying whole night in blackroom to finish all prints. And I had like two, three hours of sleep. I don't know how I was able to function then. Guess it depends from the strength of will :)

If there's one thing I'm good at, it's promising myself I'll go to bed earlier then going to bed usual time. I'm usually watching a video or something and I'll be like "Yeah 7.5hrs sleep is enough, I can stay up a bit longer...yeah 7hrs sleep would be fine...I could survive on six hours sleep...hmm 5.5hrs sleep is pushing it, I should go to bed, wait I have to have a shower first...how was I in there for half an hour?! Oh well, suppose I should go to bed as soon as possible oh look something interesting on the internet..." And then I sleep on the bus to and from university to make up for it.

And that, my friends, is the circle of life.
