Indeed! It's interesting.

Anyway, remember the little series of Housepets/Firefly crossover doodles I did a while back? Here's one more.

Looks kinda sketchy still. I might work on it a bit more.

For a first try is that i think ok (only that Max's bell on his collar bigger is) but I dislike the idea with cigarettes for cats :?

to your second fanart the first time I saw it I thought that would be King without his collar.

yup, it's the last chapter of the Pilot.
And the Milton wolves do not wear collar. It's possible that at that distance, their regular tags are not clearly visible.

I like it that way. Usually, when angry, Martin tends to become very stiff-faced, no emotions showing at all.
Seeing him here ready for blood over a parking spot it's incredibly hilarious!!!

Well, here's a bit of fan art. Let me explain... As I was working the fan fiction I am attempting to write, I was having a problem with calling paws "hands." I knew this wasn't right so I fixed it, but it got me thinking... what would some of the Housepets! characters look like IF they were more human? So I drew this. I actually haven't drawn anything in quite a while now so please go easy on me. Plus, I kind of stink at uploading anything, so sorry in advance about the blur...

As you can tell, or can't tell, this is what I think Peanut MIGHT look like in a manga, I even tried to draw his normal face off to the side to show "this is Peanut." Noticed I said might earlier, so please don't hurt me... Anyway, I hope no one gets mad at me for drawing Peanut in this style... I tried really hard...

Little bit beastly don't you think?

Peanut's face, the right one, isn't so bad.

Unless you like Lilo & Stitch, kinda wish to see the experiments in housepets style

if I have to be honest, I never appreciated this anime-ish deviation in furry art. At this point, I like more the completely-humanized Peanut and Grape rather than the 'hybrid' style.
Sorry.

EDIT - Two Twig did those pieces of art, they should be in this thread

Eh, it's fine. After all, it's all in good fun right? As an artist, I draw simply because I like to draw. But thank you for being honest, both of you.

well, I think you should give him big eyes and a wide smile to resemble more to Peanut (if you ask me, that character seems come from a Shojo XD). Also, I think the hair is too long when should be shorter and spiky. The body is perfect though I wouldn't put him a collar since he is a human.

By the way, I'm like Valerio, generally I don't like this kind of human characters with dog/cat features (ears, tail, eyes, you know), but still, I think you did a great work ;)

Thanks Gren. I'm kind of out of practice in the field of drawing, but I promise that if upload any more, it will be a lot better than this. ^^

Some humans wear collars as a fashion statement.

it's drawn well, though I feel he should look more happy and energetic.

You know, I actually like the "Hybrid style" as Valerio calls it. It reminds me of Holo from the anime Spice and Wolf.

Heck, if you're out of practice with that, I would love to see something you actually think looks good. That is awesome!!
Although I do have to agree that while the body looks pretty good, his head (The human one) needs shorter hair and a smile that looks less... mischievous.

I can't wait to see more from you.

Thank you Jeff! And sorry about the hair and smile. I've been watching The Ouran High School Host Club lately and I used Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin kind of for the reference. Well, them and Boris Airay from Alice in the Country of Hearts. If you look them up, you'll see...
