This is really cute but I admit I don't get it. Mostly 'cause I haven't seen Guys and Dolls!

Neither do I, and the first thing I thought of was what they had on the paper bags: The old fedora hats =3

I'm anxious to see where this goes :D

I also fall into the category who haven't seen this production; so most of the jokes that directly relate to the show will likely go right over my head. :B I do however understand how silly musical theatre is, and how silly everyone in it knows they are, so I understand the alt-text!

Also, if this comic has truly taught me anything over the last couple years, it's to never underestimate how adorable cats and dogs can be when they have brown paper bags over their heads.

I didn't know a thing about Macbeth before the 'imaginate macbeth' arc. After that I read the original thing, and i decided I like shakespeare.
I'll buy me a Guys and Dolls DVD after this arc is over.
For now, I am sure that our intrepid players can do it better and funnier than ANY human production!

Referencing a musical that isn't West Side Story or... uhm... West Side Story?

How elitist.

Feels like pretty shipping heavy musical after reading the its plot. I thought knowing how the actual musical goes this arc would make more sense. They look so adorable on the last panel, there's not enough panels of housepets dancing imo :3

All I can think right now is that Grape must not have learned how to control herself when in one of Tarot's mental projections yet.

But if she ever did, we wouldn't get to see them all dancing around in funny paper hats. And then I would cry.

Rick, don't ever let Grape learn how to control herself in a mental projection.

She could play multiple roles, like they did in the Macbeth one.

Seen this play a couple of times. While its not something you would normally watch more than once with the housepets spin on it this should be real amusing.

I just realized that if it weren't for the fact that there's probably no way Bino would involve himself in this production, he and Sasha would make the perfect Nathan and Adelaide

Just saw this play live... and I have to say that the first strip is probably the best summary for that musical I have ever seen! Another well done summary Mr. Griffin. My only question now would have to be;

WHY WAS PETE LAUGHING SO HARD!!!!!!!!! O.o

I can't stop thinkinig about it everytime I go on to housepets :/
Always love to live, and live to love others.

I ask a lot of questions... I know.

Guys and Dolls , what a terrific arc.
If you all haven't seen Guys & Dolls, go do it! You can catch the 1950's adaptation on Netflix or Amazon prime.
I saw it live in Stratford Ontario once.

I'm not demanding anything but it's weird that we so rarely see Sabrina and Fido in the same panel. Have they gone off each other?

Now I understand why he hesitated to show a piece of cheesecake in his comic till now. He knew very well that instead of paying attention to plot, his readers will droll over the fictional piece of cake.

But on the other hand, Mr. Griffin, maybe you should consider drawing food for cookbooks since your cheesecake stimulates appetite so much ;)
