The jelly my mom buys is never too sweet and it always has actual fruit in it.

My aunt makes homemade plum and nlackberry jelly.

I like them both, but I like tartness, so I always use plum.

I'm not sure I even want to think about what would happen if my mum made jam...

It depends on what's in the house. Sometimes I go out and get donuts. Sometimes I bake some muffins.

Peanut butter and strawberry jam on two separate pieces of multigrain toast with a galss of milk and a banana.

Or Eggs Benedict, either's good.

Two eggs over easy, hash, bacon, sausage, and whatever flavor Kool-aid I have around the house at the time.
The perfect Sunday morning breakfast for me. (Of course, I haven't had a breakfast like that on a Sunday morning in years. :( )

Now, if we're going for perfect breakfast...

Two eggs over medium, two slices of toast with either butter or grape jelly, three strips of bacon, neither two floppy or two crunchy, a small glass of orange juice, and a small glass of milk.

I'm pretty comfortable with Western style breakfasts. Waffles are delicious! Every once in a while, I'll dine in a breakfast restaurant.
Though from my home country, breakfast isn't all too different from lunch or dinner.
I'd want Western breakfasts if I wanted something sweet. Not too healthy to indulge yourself in sweets, but orange juice is one of the best drinks to have in the morning. I love my OJ.

Y'all don't want me telling how the big companies can have "fresh" OJ year-round...

So I'll just say that I freaking love milk.

You mean malk?

Also, to keep things on topic, protip: too much liquid added to scrambled eggs (in my case, buffalo wing sauce and Tabasco) makes the eggs form tiny little granules. It tastes the same, but the texture tastes like grits-- really soft, squishy grits. Next time I'll definitely be putting the sauce ingredients in after the eggs themselves are ready to serve.

Also, I now have access to the family recipe book, so I can finally post up the long-promised bean dip recipe once I find the dang thing.

Well I don't drink it everyday, but everytime I buy it. How often that is, I don't know.
Are you talking about pasteurization? They do that on milk too.
I only drink Florida orange juice? I think that's what it is called. I don't know if it is really that natural as it claims to be, but it sure tastes a lot better than the crap they serve in airplanes.

Simply Orange, yes! :) That's the one I always drink as well. It is delicious.

And for those curious, the orange juice gets stored in massive vats, then all the oxygen gets taken out, meaning the stuff won't spoil. Pretty cool.

Okay, so this is a question for all the Fanta executives that I know are all over the forums

How come orange Fanta is a completely different drink in Europe than it is in the US
In the US it's this awful syrupy stuff
In Europe it actually tastes like oranges
what gives

I think it's too sweet, but there's no accounting for taste. Regardless, it still strikes me as weird that they would bother to create two different drinks and market them as the same.

Oh, also, if we have strawberry Fanta in the US, I've never seen it. I want that too.

Ummm, maybe cuz majority of food consumptions are quantity over quality in US? It's only maybe.

East coast. It's probably just that I haven't ever bothered to look for it; it's just that the only Fanta that ever seems to be around is orange.

But pears and melons are delicious :( . You're the weird one, not me!

And Red Delicious apples are not delicious, though every other apple is delicious.

Hey! Are strawberries fruits?
I'm not so sure...
Anyway, I love strawberries so I need to make sure what type of food it is considered to be.

Well botanically, fruits are the ovary of a plant which contain the seeds and I'm pretty sure strawberries have seeds on the outside (something doesn't have to have plantable seeds to be considered fruit). More qualitatively, it's any edible part of a plant which has a generally sweet flavour. However, this tells me pumpkin is a fruit because it has seeds and I think it has more of a sweet flavour than most vegetables.

Speaking of, I don't like pumpkin.

All berries are fruits unless there's some bizarre exception I'm not aware of
I think the definition of what is and is not fruit is kind of blurry anyways, but berries are a safe bet.

I decided to get creative a couple of days ago with what I had in my in my kitchen, this is what I came up with. I had a can of chicken broth, some bacon and a potato. It was simple enough. I just sliced up the bacon and the potato and boiled the pieces in the broth. The resulting soup was quite good.
