Off-topic, I totally agree about Nikki and Paulo. Such a waste.CaptainPea wrote:Pumpkin pie's good, apple pie is a waste of applesI wish that they hadn'tPenwrite wrote:Wait a minute...Nikki and Paulo...is that a LOST reference?

On-topic, I freaking love apple pie. My favorite pie. Pumpkin pie is great too, and I have a soft spot for lemon pie.
Re: The Food Topic #Nom nOm noM
Lemon pie?? never heared of that before.... how does it taste like? just too sour?Penwrite wrote:lemon pie.
Re: The Food Topic #Nom nOm noM
It's a lot like lemonade. Sweet, and the kind of sour that makes your mouth water and you to want more. Also gooey like apple pie is.texascat018 wrote:Lemon pie?? never heared of that before.... how does it taste like? just too sour?Penwrite wrote:lemon pie.

Or if the cheese gets dried out and becomes hard as a rock.
I just realized I have not had pancakes in months. This must be corrected.

Me too!
Re: The Food Topic #Nom nOm noM
What size pancakes do you make at home?
We usually do slightly less than plate sized in my family
Also I always go for peanut butter and syrup on top.

I put jelly on mine's sometimes. My mom thinks I'm weird when I do that.
Re: The Food Topic #Nom nOm noM
Jelly on pancakes? I'm going to have to try that next time I eat pancakes.
Re: The Food Topic #Nom nOm noM
I should try that, I sometimes eat the pancake with chopstick.

I don't really go beyond butter and syrup either. Sometimes simple is better.
I make them (when I do actually make them, since it's been since, uh, early fall '11 or so) the size of one of my small skillets, as that is what I use. And fluffy.

Funnily enough, I'm actually more of a waffle man.

French toast is obviously the best
it's European, which means it's more sophisticated.

I like French toast. It's pretty much the only thing with eggs that I like for breakfast.

Re: The Food Topic #Nom nOm noM
I like french toast. If I were actually eating breakfast, I'd probably pick french toast over its waffle or pancake brethren (I say that because I usually eat such things for later meals, not because I don't eat breakfast, guyz).
Does anyone know where french toast is from? I always assumed it couldn't be French but I suppose it's no less likely to be from France than from any other country.

I dunno, but my friend "invented" French toast before my other friend informed him it already existed.

Re: The Food Topic #Nom nOm noM
I just looked it up and found out that French toast was created in the Ancient Roman times.
Re: The Food Topic #Nom nOm noM
so it should be called as roman toast. dosen't sounds tasty
Re: The Food Topic #Nom nOm noM
I can't explain it, I just don't like the taste of French Toast. It has nothing to do with the word "French" in the name.
I do, however, love regular toast. Spread some butter or grape jelly on that baby and my mouth is in heaven.

I love toast. I could eat it dry.
Butter and cinnamon sugar are good though.

I'm not to keen on jam/jelly. It's way to sweet... I like it when it's like bitter and has actual fruit pieces.
When I first read this and saw "Jelly" on pancakes I was highly disgusted until I realised that you meant jam and not the gelatin or whatever you crazy Americans renamed it ;D I love French toast! It's wonderful! Although I'm fond of anything with egg in it, it's a weakness of mine. Waffles are...eeehhh...Well they're fine I guess and pancakes again are much to sweet unless they're special savoury pancakes.

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every single minute of it.
