The best ending is one that is sad and happy at the same time. Although I don't really care which it is, just so long as it is emotional.

Re: Chat Thread 37: Diss Wants to Be Involved
If you've seen The Lion King, you have the general idea of what will happen. If you have seen Sons of Anarchy, you know whats going to happen almost scene for scene. Yes, Sons of Anarchy is an adaptation of The tragedy of Hamlet: Prince of Denmark that at points almost mirrors scenes from Hamlet, where as Lion King took characters from Hamlet, like Rozencratz and Guildernstern, and made them "family friendly" with the comic relief duo becoming Timone and Pumba, Hamlet's uncle becomes Scar, King Hamlet becomes Mufasa, and Ophelia becomes Nala, all with more family friendly traits, like how Rozencratz and Guildernstern are at first doing nothing but making "dirty" jokes, and being bumbling morons. Sorry to ruin it for you, but yah, that's the truth.JeffCvt wrote:Haven't read or seen Hamlet.
Don't spoil it.

I agree, so long as it's smart too. My most favourite ending to a series or movie is the ending to Code Geass. Absolutely epic. Speaking of...JeffCvt wrote:The best ending is one that is sad and happy at the same time. Although I don't really care which it is, just so long as it is emotional.
It was a while ago but I think this was the moment the series became completely awesome.Otaku-Boy wrote:GoGo to youtube, and type in Yuki vs. Asukuratexascat018 wrote:I don't know who she is.....Otaku-Boy wrote:.... it doesnt matter what type of genre it is, Im not into superheroes.
Unless you count Yuki Nagato as a super hero
And on the current topic: Hamlet was one of my favourite plays, not so much for its emotion but the story and development of its characters is one of the best (that is having only read 4 or 5 of his complete works).

worse yet, that was talking about that lion king is somewhat similar and Sons of Anarchy is exactly the same, without actually spoiling the ending of any of the three things involved.

So, by that logic, telling him something that comes from Hamlet could be spoiling it.

Its a tragedy set in Denmark, and something I want to see in a live performance of. If your interested, all Shakespeare plays, sonnets ectera are public domain and can be accuired for very little with no royalty fees, your just paying for paper and ink.Otaku-Boy wrote:Okay, Ill bite, what the heck is Hamlet, I have no clue what it is.

Sadly no, Koalas are quite shy and you're lucky to see them in the wild. They have areas where koalas live and signs telling people to slow down because they occasionally cross the street but I haven't seen any do so. You can go to wildlife parks to hold koalas but they're very strict because koalas can get scared and lash out if provoked, they definately say never to pick one up in the wild unless they are in danger of being hit by a car or something (and by the wild I mean anywhere that's not a wildlife park, they are everywhere, you just don't see them...). Oh and no offence taken, I like being able to explain things like this!
However, you've reminded me of a thread I've been meaning to start for a while. I'll be back in a bit.
EDIT: Okay, I've started the thread and (I hope I'm not out of line by posting the link here) here it is.
If anyone wants further stereotypes about any country quashed, there's the place to go.

I have a surprising lack of fear on wobbly step ladders.
I'll get on an 8 foot tall ladder with something like 10 inches of wobble at the top.
I'll just be like "Lets see if there's any wobble" KLUNK KLUNK KLUNK "Yea, that seems safe enough"
I've even gotten on one that was basically set up on an uneven sheet of ice with nothing but some roofing shingles to keep all 4 feet from sliding. (And I think there was some wobble in it too)
