 Re: Discussion: Video Games
Lol that megaman box art always weirded me out but I love the series, at least until they changed it.

 Re: Discussion: Video Games
I think Boxart Megaman was an ingenious move by Capcom, even if I hate them right now.

erm...you're saying Capcom wanted bad publicity since 'all publicity is good publicity'?

 Re: Discussion: Video Games
The dlc's publicity made Capcom lose a lot of preorder and buyers... i bought SFxT used (in perfect conditions fortunately) just because i didn't want to give them my money.
Now i'm afraid for Resident Evil 6

 Re: Discussion: Video Games
I just think it was extremely funny. Keiji Inafune (the creator of Megaman who left Capcom) LOVED it.
EDIT: So the devs of Super Monday Night Combat accidentally released the game today, but they decided to leave it up and embrace the mistake. It's F2P on Steam.

Sounds like a fun time, I might try it out.
Okay people, I need a little help in Battlefield 3. So, I'm trying to get the L85a2 from the Back to Karkan DLC, but I am having a problem. I can't seem to get two more victories in squad deathmatch, would anyone help me out here?
Also, whats up with unlockable guns in these "realistic military" FPSs, the military of whatever nation it is issues generally one rifle with one general caliber, yet in most FPSs it has the US apparently issuing to soldiers .44 caliber revolvers and Chinese carbines to some, but it gives a British assault rifle and an Austrian machine pistol to others. So, I had the thought, what if, just what if, more games got AWAY from being established countries and armies and instead made it about military contractors. Think about it, XP could be cash and reputation, so it would make sense that as you went out and did more that you would get access to different gear. I don't know, I would just like to see something like that over another army shooter that's really like a bad Hollywood blockbuster. *shrug*

I think He is on PC, If you are on pc add me :http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/soldier/texascat018/stats/355421942/#!/bf3/user/texascat018/ You have to find a SDM Assigment server, in that server the game ends after every 5 kills, so game ends really fast;which gives you high chance to win. True, well since that they have to gain popularity (bring some cod users to bf3) to earn money, thats what they have to do, sad truth. if you want real Military; why don't you join army? I'm willing to.

 Re: Discussion: Video Games
I hope one day to become a fighting pro too ^^ but... fighting games on xbox? I hope you use an AS because 360's dpad is horrible I just heard that Tekken Tag 2 will use the same netcode (with improvements) as Soul Calibur V. I'm so happy i can't even describe it, now i hope Harada and his team will rebalance the 1vs2 system (i saw Bryan, Bob and a few others performing a 90% juggle with wall sandwich in solo mode) and the new charas must NOT have 85% or more sandwich combo in tag charge, or we'll be back to the bugged base version in time for consoles. The rest of that game is magnificent

Everyone always talks about the D-pad. HELLO PEOPLE there's an analogue stick! It's pretty much exactly like the stick on a joystick and it's in a good place too.

 Re: Discussion: Video Games
Why use the D pad? I mean, joysticks work WELL, I just don't see why that would be an issue. And whats this crap with arcade sticks? They built joysticks INTO the controller, why go out and by an arcade stick?

 Re: Discussion: Video Games
Well arcade sticks are generally agreed by just about everyone in the fighting community as better for fighters (I could look up why but I'm lazy) there's only a few professional level fighters who go to tournaments with controllers. We call them "Pad Warriors" thats how much of a big deal it is they aren't using an arcade stick. I personall wanted to get one like this but it was expensive

1. Become a tournament level fighting gamer 2. Bring MLP arcade stick to big tournaments 3. ?????? 4. Profit
I don't even like MLP, but I would do that.

 Re: Discussion: Video Games
Thats the plan!
Anyway, I've been playing Skull Girls recently. My main game is still Blaz Blue, but Skull Girls is very fun and my rushdown tactics work well with it.
Currently I play Valentine/Ms.Fortune Blaz Blue Carl and Bang Street Fighter 4 Sakura,Cody,Juri Street Fighter 3 Yang Tekken6 Lili,Roger JR. Leo Melty Blood Aoka Smash Bros Ness,Lucas,Luigi, Yoshi MvC3- Wright/Ammy/Felcia, Morrigan/Hsien-ko/Felcia and Chris/Ammy/Felicia as you can tell Felecia is very important.

What a coincedence! I've been playing street fighter as well! (well the old super nes ones, but still)
Super Street Fighter II was the best in my opinion, though Street Fighter Alpha II comes close

I never really liked Street Fighter. Dunno, I'm just suck of all the different versions of the same games, it just annoys me. I prefer Mortal Kombat personally.

 Re: Discussion: Video Games
Mortal Kombat's a pretty solid fighter, but the only trouble I have is that I don't understand how combos work! combos in street fighter work by doing some sort of motion with the d-pad, then pressing a button, but I think in MK works by having you tap out some weird button order or something? i dunno. Either way, MK's are pretty solid fighters.

 Re: Discussion: Video Games
You mean moves/specials. I always found MK just to be FAR too slow and clunky compared to just about every other fighter that exists.

 Re: Discussion: Video Games
You mean... you use... the analog stick? Uh, i mean, if you find yourself good with it no prob... but the analog with fighting games is taboo. Precision with 90/180 is reduced, only with 360 (Tager uber grabs for example) is good, but those charas and moves are obviously created to be used with an AS. In normal conditions, stepping and sorta with an analog on a normal pad is not impossible, but very difficult. Surely if you wanna compete in tournaments someday you have to get used with dpad... watch for example the evo tournament of Tekken Tag 2, watch the stepping, the timing and precision... with an analog is quite impossible to do so. Only an AS can, because it use a full hand on the analog, not a single finger. You only have 360? It would be interesting to play sometimes on Tekken 6, or Blazblue I never liked MK... i don't know why exactly, because after all is a good fighter. Maybe the same reasons as exranio, you feel like you don't really have the control on your character. The only SF i like for real is the Third Strike, is SO perfect.

 Re: Discussion: Video Games
I dunno, I guess its really that I like the story and characters, plus I've never felt that the game was that clunky, only when I play as Ermac, but I hate being Ermac, even though he's pretty much Legion and his combos are really strong, he is just too slow for how I play *shrugs*. What fighting game I really don't like is Marvel vs. Capcom 3, 1. Where is Megaman? and 2. I hate it when new versions of the same game are made, I mean, at least with Street Fighter they seemed to make improvements with some of the versions of 2 that I've played, but the only things I've heard about UMVC3 is that is has some new characters, I mean with the MK9 Kollectors edition, its the same game but with all the DLC bundled together, and its advertised as such, so if you don't own the game to begin with you can get all of the new characters like Freddie Kreuger, all the Klasic skins and some other stuff, plus I've seen MK9 for around $45 brand new, and all that DLC can add up, so at least its a decent deal.

 Re: Discussion: Video Games
Actually its only really agreed that Sticks are better for older fighters (and even then its still sort of debatable out side of doing 360 motions and stuff). Newer ones are made with a pad in mind so they work just as well, plus you have to understand most Tournament Level players use Sticks mostly because they learned at the Arcade so they are more used to it. You can easily be just as good on a Pad as you can on a Stick so don't ever think you must get a Stick to be good at fighting game or that getting one will make you better.
Edit: Oh and my UMVC3 Teams for the heck of it Hulk (Gama Wave)/Felicia (Rolling Buckler)/Amaterasu (Cold Star) Captain America (Sheild Slash)/Rocket Raccoon (Spitfire Twice)/Doctor Doom (Hidden Missles) Thor (Smash)/Storm (Wirlwind)/Ryu (Tatsu)
And my for fun team: Spiderman (Web ball)/Phoenix Wright (Get Em' Missle)/She-Hulk(Closeline)

I've been wanting to play Magicka for quite a few months now. I've seen several partial play-throughs of it, and everything about it looks amazing.
Unfortunately, after downloading it during a couple day period where they were offering it for free, I have confirmed that my computer can't run that either. *le sigh*

Why not download it to see if your computer can run it? Would suck to buy the game and not be able to play it.
